I was asked again what is that man doing, surely he would have been better off if he had sold when we were a League One side. My reply is I don’t know, but I’m fed up of being taken for a fool.

He's just chasing down the market. He could have sold and made a good profit had he sold in the first L1 year where we were said to have been "debt free" having used the £1m profit to pay off the loans. He was clearly too greedy, and since then, we've lost a couple of million which he's had to finance (from loans from others!), so he needs that £2m plus the original cost of his share investment when he first bought the shares, probably another million, plus whatever "profit" he wants out of it. Because of the £2m losses of the past two years, he'll be £2m light on whatever he gets for it as the club's value hasn't increased, so even if the same value, he has £2m of extra loans to repay first. As each month goes by, the debts increase so he becomes worse off, yet "needs" a higher value to cover his loans.
It's a bit like someone who's lost a small fortune on dodgy share investments - it's sadly common for such people to keep buying more and more shares in the same investment in the hope of them increasing in value again to try to recoup some of their initial losses. It barely ever works out that way, they end up losing even more money as the shares continue to fall in value!

if we lose
and
Accy & Tranmere win its curtains
But at least the sale will go through
but I expect it to be in the close season as we still come under EFL umbrella till the season ends
So PW will still need to meet EFL criteria until the seasons over

Well we will know by 4:50pm if that’s true or not.
Just a few quick questions, Does it mean if we are relegated the PW have to re-start going through the fit and proper test of the National League all over again?, if so is it easier to pass so they can become our owners? If so will they get it done before the new season? Will it carry on being dragged out? Will Whittingham sell to someone else? Of course then back to going through the process again with Whittingham still the owner!!
