Somebody must be winding him up. Why would the wannabe owner reach out to Neil and confide in him? 100% it's a wind up and we all know it is

I don’t think anybody really believes that a sale will go through this week or next.

This year or next takes some imagination.

The writing was on the wall when he destroyed Worcester Warriors. We just had a stay of execution, but we all knew he couldn't give a crap about the club, only his own bank account.

I'm sorry Neil but anything you say is losing credibility.

Anyone else bracing themselves for the next couple of weeks because I'd argue that this is the most important ever?

I can imagine there will be an announcement in the couple of weeks after we are mathematically relegated

Who knows how long it will take for Panjab Warriors to takeover the Club by passing the EFL tests, but a good move would have been to say to Whittingham this is the price of a EFL League One Club and then with a different price if Morecambe are Relegated to the National League or that Panjab Warriors will pull out if Morecambe fall out of the EFL.

Now if we ever believe anything Whittingham says (Oh F*** a flying Pig), that Panjab Warriors are the preferred bidder, he will know that and he must have accepted it as part of their agreement of understanding of them purchasing the Club.

As I have said I think Panjab Warriors have been stalling to see if we do indeed go down!! (And obviously they pay less for the Club). Still a lot can happen on the sale front because of Whittingham, who knows how his brain works. I was asked again what is that man doing, surely he would have been better off if he had sold when we were a League One side. My reply is I don’t know, but I’m fed up of being taken for a fool.

That is all very interesting as the early bird season tickets go on sale soon and with this Easter weekend fixtures we will probably know if we are numerically relegated or somehow we still have a chance of staying up. Have Morecambe two different price bands ready to publish or have they gone for the same pricing whatever League we are in?

He's just chasing down the market. He could have sold and made a good profit had he sold in the first L1 year where we were said to have been "debt free" having used the £1m profit to pay off the loans. He was clearly too greedy, and since then, we've lost a couple of million which he's had to finance (from loans from others!), so he needs that £2m plus the original cost of his share investment when he first bought the shares, probably another million, plus whatever "profit" he wants out of it. Because of the £2m losses of the past two years, he'll be £2m light on whatever he gets for it as the club's value hasn't increased, so even if the same value, he has £2m of extra loans to repay first. As each month goes by, the debts increase so he becomes worse off, yet "needs" a higher value to cover his loans.

It's a bit like someone who's lost a small fortune on dodgy share investments - it's sadly common for such people to keep buying more and more shares in the same investment in the hope of them increasing in value again to try to recoup some of their initial losses. It barely ever works out that way, they end up losing even more money as the shares continue to fall in value!

So by the end of this afternoon we could well be relegated,
if we lose
and
Accy & Tranmere win its curtains
But at least the sale will go through
but I expect it to be in the close season as we still come under EFL umbrella till the season ends
So PW will still need to meet EFL criteria until the seasons over

Well we will know by 4:50pm if that’s true or not.

Just a few quick questions, Does it mean if we are relegated the PW have to re-start going through the fit and proper test of the National League all over again?, if so is it easier to pass so they can become our owners? If so will they get it done before the new season? Will it carry on being dragged out? Will Whittingham sell to someone else? Of course then back to going through the process again with Whittingham still the owner!!

Guess they’ll have to do it all again,
as they don’t seem to be able to pass the EFL’s tests
And less stringent test for NL
So now we know why they were dragging their feet about the EFL criteria

Do we know the 'fit & proper persons' test is less stringent in the National League? I thought I read that the National League now use the same standard as the EFL, but I am not sure?

Wigan's new owner bought the club, provided the relevant details and was approved in little more than a week. Even if it starts again in the National League, a genuine new owner, with genuine access to funds, and evidence of where the funds came from, could be in position within a fortnight, regardless of EFL or National League.
