Burgoyne is costing us too many games with his dithering, and refusal to come off his line, not to mention punching balls to opposition players that he should have just caught. Just because he saved a penalty at Chelsea doesn't make him the Messiah - that didn't matter in the big scheme of things but constantly conceding simple/weak goal efforts is going to cost us our league status.

I agree. He does make some good saves sometimes but he must surely be very close to being dropped now.
The penalty save at Chelsea was great but equally he let in a very soft goal during that game as well. Nobody has mentioned it because of the context of the game and you don’t want to be too critical but the mistakes have mounted up this season to a point where I’d start the new keeper on Saturday.

At least come out to meet the attacker, even if you don’t make it to the ball first, you might put him off a bit. From personal experience in Sunday league football years ago, it’s much more difficult to focus on heading the ball when you hear “KEEEEEEEPERRRRS!!!!” and have to brace yourself for impact. That said, the weight differential between Harry and your average league two attacker is probably considerably less than the weight differential between me and your average sunday league goalkeeper. But more assertiveness and aggression required, please!

I don't think the Newport game was a 'story of our season' type thing. When have we created countless scoring opportunities like we did on Tuesday? We haven't. We've managed to consistently get into decent areas but in terms of actual proper chances/shots etc, we've created very little all season.
Tuesday was unfortunate and hampered by a goalkeeping error and poor defending (second more on Songo'o than Stott for me - shanked clearance from him is what leads to our defence being on the back-foot). But viewed in the context of our recent transfer business and the fact that we created a bucketload of proper chances against Fleetwood as well, I think we are turning a corner in terms of creating opportunities/scoring goals.
I feel fairly confident that we'll continue to score more and consequently pick up more points than we have done prior. But the issue will be whether it's enough to undo the damage/points lost so far this season. We don't really have much room for unfortunate nights like at Newport.
