New signing

Derek will be very aware that we need a striker but not one who doesn't know where the net is (or if he does he can't find it). If he doesn't bring another striker in it will be because he can't afford it.

I still think it will be a loanee.

Think I'm inclined to agree on Jones, looked ok start of the season but maybe not offering much anymore. Rarely terrible but also rarely stands out, since it's a loan he may be fairly light on the wage bill, in which case I'm not against keeping hold of him.

From what I've seen I agree with you as he seems to go unnoticed for much of the game. However, Derek plays him most weeks but that maybe because there's no one else.

Attacking mid fielder from past Clubs like Bradford, but released from Hartlepool end of 23-34. Derek knows him from his Bradford days and hopefully Callum realises what an opportunity this is and the faith Derek has put in on bringing him back into league football.
He doesn’t come with a fantastic goal scoring record (about 1 in 10 games average). Let’s hope it’s a brilliant peace of management by Derek.
On ending Jones loan, it’s one of those he just doesn’t quite cut it for me, I would like Macadam or Lewis in midfield but hey ho! I’d only get rid of Jones if we have another loanee lined up.

On a positive note Angol was on the bench on Saturday so at least that’s some good news, he was looking useful once he had got match fit. (Unfortunately he then went and got injured). So let’s hope he last the rest of the season injury free.

No stricker no chance of survival, especially the way other teams are bringing players eg.Carlisle.

Every club is on the lookout for a proven striker. Most if not allhave got money to spend in that search.

I'm as worried as others about whether DA will find the right person. But his record to date of unearthing someone to fit a specific role is incredible. It will take time. We have to be patient and have faith in DA to deliver. Maybe not as soon as we all hope but it will happen just be patient.
