Watch Toyota and the remaining car manufacturing companies relocate to mainland Europe because they want to sell their products to the largest part of the European market. Laugh with gusto as the Australians point out that apart from importing their lamb & kangaroo meat, we have nothing to offer them any more (and Canada, New Zealand etc feel the same). As unemployment rises and what little manufacturing that is left, also leaves, UKIP will unveil the rest of their policies as they form and alliance with the BNP, which is no longer needed because the economic melt-down means anyone who wants a job is "going home" anyway.
And vote MBI too with their policies of... err... introducing more bureaucracy and... err... spending more money on a building that they've been spending money on for the last two decades without success and err... oh yes, opposing any development of Morecambe that may actually be successful (by-pass, Urban Splash, anything else that might come along...)
How about forming a 1950's party? You could have a great policy manifesto that appeals to a broad group of voters, like* Summer to last for seven months and rain banned during the school holidays
* All manufacturing towns must have their holidays on different weeks, enabling the work force to have their time off staggered, ensuring the B&B's are full through out
* Reduce unemployment in the town by building a pier
* Bathing Beauty competitions at the open air swimming pool that Morecambe will need (see first policy)
* Further reduce unemployment by manufacturing black & white TV's that will be issued to every household. The National Anthem to be played at close-down each night
* All children will play in woods for at least 9 hours per day when not at school. That way they will behave and be nice to old people (apple scrumping will be an offence dealt with by a clip around the ear from a chubby policeman)
Oh yes...* Winter Gardens to re-open
There must be more?

as for Toyota etc switching production to Europe , it would be exactly the opposite as we would then not be bound by all the EU directives on working practices hours etc that are strangling businesses.
and we would also be able to fish our own waters after we withdraw from the Common Fisheries policy which sees big fleets of Spanish ships coming and emptying the fish stocks with the ridiculous practice of throwing dead fish back into the sea when you catch more than your quota.

Just because the chair to the winter gardens is a member of the MBI does not mean the MBI are anything to do with it.

The dedicated Chair of The Winter Gardens( Evelyn Archer) is to her credit a M.B.I stalwart and it has to be said that the majority of the Friends of The Wintergardens are supporters of The Morecambe Bay Independent Party becasue as everybody should be aware-The Morecambe Bay Independent Party are the only political party that cares and has secured the future of The Winter Gardens.
