1920 Union

Now I know people were worried about this new protest group and that's understandable.
I think they've been brilliant and have really shaken things up.
What is the general feeling?

Anything to get Jason Out and sell the club quicker the better

Think whoever buys the club will have to get the club out of the national league back to league football which will be tough (hope we stay up though)

I think it's fantastic and what's been needed. Any planned protests for the Bradford cup game?

Brilliant day today, great to be amongst the masses pulling together.
The atmosphere in the Exchange, down Regent Rd into the stadium was amazing.
As a seated fan you miss this at home games and only really experience this feeling at away games.
Just hope it helps towards a much needed sale and a change of direction

I was a bit dubious at first as I was afraid that they might overstep the mark from a legal point of view but so far they have done splendidly.

When you look at whom the fans can take their lead from...

The BoD....Hands tied and mouths taped shut. I was amazed last summer when they actually came out and called Jason a liar (which he is). Since that time they have either said nothing or given out some platitudes about Jason wanting to sell the club and is working towards a sale. Either the Board have been taken in by Jason and his buyers or they don't want to come across too negative in case the fans stop attending.

The Shrimps Trust....Has done some excellent work in trying to contact all parties and fill the communication gap between fans and club. They will have a major part to play if the worst happens but understandably do not want to cross the 'legal line' at present.

1920 Union They have already targeted Jason's home town with flyers etc. and been a force in organising yesterdays march and will probably be prepared to go further than the Trust.

There is definitely a role for these 3 groups and it is important that they communicate closely with each other and work together wherever possible as they and we are all aiming for the same goal.

About time the 1920 group and the trust demand a proper fans forum,so many things need addressing at the club!

There's not been an AGM for years! The reason for no fans forum must be because the Board cannot release the information we want even at a fans forum. Oh! and if you're thinking Jason should attend you'd be right .........but he won't

Things had gone flat with just empty words and pointless statements being fed to us, the fans. This new group have kicked everyone in to gear and have taken action.

The Trust have burst in to life on the back of it and questions are being asked of the Board. Whittingham is no longer safe from protest as they took it to his town.

The Exchange was buzzing and the march was full of noise from both young and old. I felt part of something yesterday and long may it continue.

All power to them and i hope that they are here for the long haul. Well played 1920Union.

I was asked to help with this.

Following on from the success on Saturday we want to make a difference to the communities Jason Whittingham has let down.

We are calling for supporters to come together to raise funds for the following:

Epping Forest foodbank near Buckhurst Hill, supporting families in the local community where Jason Whittingham resides.

Worcester Warriors Foundation, the charity still running and supporting the community of Worcester after the devastating lost of the Rugby club owned by Bond Group

Morecambe Food Bank, the football club is the heart of the community and we want to show we are there for people even if Jason Whittingham isnt

Our club deserves an owner who is fully invested in our success and the community we represent. While we will never stop calling for Jason Whittingham to sell the club to a credible buyer, it's also important to support communities in need, whether that is in Morecambe or Buckhurst Hill.

Foodbanks provide a lifeline for struggling families, and we know how crucial it is to stand together during tough times. By raising money for these causes, we will make a meaningful difference and send a strong message about the power of community action.

All donations will go directly to the charities, providing essential items for those in need. Let's show that our Shrimps family supports not only our club but also the wider community, even where change is needed most.

Donate today and help us support those who need it
most!

Imagine the media we can create if football fans raise money for his home town and Worcester.
Please help if you can

The 1920 union has galvanised the Club and it’s supporters really putting our voice and our concerns over the continued ownership of the Bond Group and it mysterious buyers not getting the supposed agreed deal over the line.
Can either the Shrimps Trust or the 1920 Union really now take the fight to Jason, the Epping Forest Gauardian is the local paper that covers the area JW lives. Let’s try to get our story herd down there, I don’t know what press the give JW or the Bond group but surely it worth a try to get an article written on our plight by JW’s treatment of our Club.

The pressure must continue and that also means on the prospective buyers, we have got to make them become public on their bid to buy us.

If we can raise a good amount for Epping Forest food bank then we can hit his local news outlets.
Please if you can donate because we can do something really special here.

Are you splitting it directly, three ways? Personally, I'd prefer it to have just been the two food banks. As much as Worcester Warriers situation is painful, our own position it pretty much the same as ours.

Regardless, hope it is a success. As you say, being able to make a decent donation, 'from up north' should get some local coverage.

Poor attitude that Keith.
I'm asking the Shrimps Trust community to get behind this campaign if possible.
1. Helping Worcester is a good thing
2. It sends a powerful statement to the media.
But we can't please everyone.

Helping Worcester is a good thing, but we're potentially in an even worse situation if we go under. The foodbanks are always a good thing to support, but I think we'd have been better keeping one third for our own fighting funds.

But, it's irrelevant what I think, it is still a positive move and I've donated. Hopefully plenty of other people do too.
