Jason we don't care if you've agreed terms. If these terms were agreed months ago then why hasn't the sale gone through? Because it's not a real offer.

It's like if I were selling a house worth £200k and somebody offered me £500k for it. That's great but if no bank will give them a mortgage for it then it's not a real offer. I understand his logic, you'd do everything you could to push that bigger deal through but you have to know when to admit defeat and go back to the table to consider the real offers.

If terms have been agreed for the sale why doesn't Jason say who is buying the club

If terms have been agreed then what is the problem getting EFL approval? I would not be surprised if the reason is the buyers can't explain the source of their money!

In the report on ITVNews (https://www.itv.com/news/granada/2024-1 ... an-protest) Grahame Howse says:
"They want to develop the football ground, they want to develop the land around the football ground"
Is that the problem? Whittingham owns 'the club', but that doesn't include the land the stadium's on and the land around it does it?
Is this prospective new owner holding out for a deal that includes the land, so they can 'develop' it?

No I just think they can't pass the EFL test yet and prove where their money is from.

You do wonder if they only want the club for the land around it. We own very little though but did someone say a while back they wanted to buy the hurley and put a hotel there! If true that would cost a fortune can't see Marston's selling cheap!
