Whether the BoDs are aware of their identity only they will know, but by exposing themselves may insight opposition from some fans which is probable whoever the buyer is and from their perspective they don't want any hostilities while the process is underway.
Also any negative reaction from the fans during the process may have an unfavourable reaction by the buyers leading to them questioning their wish to purchase OUR club.
As to whether they are a mirror of JW is unknown and only time will tell BUT if they are genuine and want to purchase OUR club and invest in both the team and infrastructure then excellent. Until such a deal is completed (assuming that there is a deal to be done) we the fans and backbone of OUR club will remain in the shadows of the unknown......

Haven't they been down this road before last year with identical issues. I can only think that it's either 1/ Not a serious bid or 2/ It's a cack handed effort at acquiring a sports business and they are embarrassed at putting their names to it and want to avoid all the flack which would inevitably come their way with their handling of the process.
In the unlikely event that it's an as yet unknown buyer then it is a little mystifying as to why they want anonymity. Most buyers of football clubs are out there in the media and their identity is known well in advance.
I fear we're living on false hopes yet again.

I have been involved in at least 2 takeovers / buy outs of former companies and on both occasions staff at very serious management positions knew nothing about the takeovers until the deal was signed sealed and delivered.
It is the potential owner (s) prerogative to remain unknown until any deal is completed and after some of the negative comments about JW ( including from myself) I for one respect and understand their wishes.
I am grateful to our BoDs for the recent posting on the OWS and note that it was the potential owner(s) representative that opened a dialogue with our BoD and NOT the actual potential owner. That suggests to me that it was either a solicitor or accountant of the potential owner who wanted to clarify our clubs position on the sale so that they could provide an independent assessment of any future deal which for me is a logical process to undertake.
When one considers the reaction on this forum to previous potential owners is it any wonder that whoever the new owner may be wishes to remain anonymous until any deal is completed.
Let the parties concerned continue to negotiate in their preferred way and trust our BoDs to communicate identities as when when they are allowed to do so.
As frustrating as it may be after months of speculation surely we can wait a wee bit longer for a successful conclusion to any negotiations.....
