Look at our work rate in the Notts County game, a team that is in 5th position and we looked so much better than them in large parts throughout that game, especially in the first half.
Who ever we play top or bottom we have as whole team to put in a shift. Was it really there yesterday? Was it because we were playing Accrington and we played less of a pressing game? Was those in midfield up for it. It was back to drop back and don’t work back. You could see our defenders shouting at not being protected. Time and again the opposition midfield just glide past ours, especially in the first half hour. When you wear the shirt, am I wrong in expecting every single player (not half the team), to come off that pitch on their last legs after turning up, putting in a shift and playing well. I do hope everybody else thinks that’s only right.
Derek clearly not happy, he would like the fans, expected better.
You cannot play well and lose gallantly or by a bad decision week in and out and maybe end up getting a draw from a better team if you don’t beat the teams in and around you or below you. (yes I keep harping on about it, but if you want to stay in a league that what you have to do. (I still think that scenario played a big part in us falling out of League One).
Ten games in and we now require a big turn around in our fortunes. I’m watching closely how each player plays and I’m coming to a disappointing conclusion if some don’t start to play better when they put on the shirt.
I am not thriving while I write this but we are Ten games in and we now require a big turn around in our fortunes. I’m disappointed in some individual players so far and our injuries list is taking a toll on being able to change things around. I do however, even thou results have not gone our way think there many positive things that I see that I still think we will be OK, I really do.
