The club need to engage with the fans again rather than saying let's just get on with it. The media output is very poor, we have a whole new squad and there is zero interaction with them. The younger fans love all that and it needs improving. The Board need to be more positive despite the uncertainty behind the scenes. We need to get the drifting fans back rather than just sleep walk our way back to 900 on a Tuesday night. Everything about a match day is tired. There is no pre match entertainment other than a busker style singer out side of the stadium. JB's bar is as poor as it always has been. There is nothing at half time, no attempt to raise any money with raffles etc. There is nothing after the game and thousands of fans drift away. Some get there at 2.55pm and leave at the final whistle with zero interaction with the club. Yes, Jason is a prick but the club has to help itself.
We had our best years despite Whittingham and we should look to bring that feel good factor back rather than allowing this negative vibe to spread. The support for Derek and the lads has been great, the hardcore fans are doing their bit, the new look Trust has stepped up but the club has to step us aswell.
Nail on the head there. I think we're really missing Ben Sadler as the whole "feel" of the club is back to the bad old days of ever dwindling crowds and a general air of misery. The website and social media output is really poor again. Such a massive shame after the feel good factor of league one - all the brilliant changes made during those years have been thrown away! And, no, we can't constantly blame Jason - a lot of things could be changed with minimal or no cost - from top to bottom, there seems to be an attitude of just treading water, whilst waiting for a saviour to pour money into the club, and no "plan B" if that doesn't materialise.
