And if you listen to the reasoning behind it, he's a season ticket holder in the stands with his son, but was warned of the cost of the security which we the taxpayer would have had to foot if he and his son had taken their usual seats, so he 'reluctantly' accepted the offer. I'd personally rather he accepted those freebies than add thousands to taxpayer costs once a fortnight.

Rather than put himself in the position of 'owing favours' to the Premier League he should have funded the upgrade from his own pocket if he wants to attend a match.
