1.Artell has a new 1 year deal
2.We have a friendley against Huddersfield on 18th of July
3.We also have a friendley away at Southport on 14th of July
4.We haven't managed to sign that right back that Sammy was after

OIt's a buyres market at the moment so if we felt the lad was after to much money we have done right to walk away there will be plenty of others available over the summer.

And dont you think that all the better players will get signed up first, then that leaves only the 2nd 3rd choice's left, as usual we will be left with the dreggs ????????????/

What makes you think that a club our size can compete for the top players in this league?

There was much moaning about how we didn't get our first choice signings last year such as Charlie MacDonald but he chose Brentford over us who ended up winning the league.

There seems to be nothing wrong with Sammy's choice of targets it's just that inevitably these quality players are wanted by bigger clubs than us and therefore we lose out.

What would you rather Sammy do? Try and sign these players in the hope that one of them agrees to come (Rene Howe) but in the knowledge that we will get knocked back more often than not (Charlie MacDonald, Andy Kirk, this right back who I am assuming is Kieran Charnock) or just go for people like Andy Parrish, Michael Carr from the off and accept that these are the best we can do.

Surely not

I am sure he signed for Peterborough 2 years ago but reports are stating that the one Sammy is interested in has 12mths left on his current contract meaning Charnock must have been given a 3yr contract :!:
