We only have JWs word for a buyer being agreed and we all know how little his word is worth.

Until we hear something from the EFL that they are either in receipt of paperwork or indeed have passed or failed someone, I wouldn't waste my time speculating.

It relives the inner turmoil that the fans are going through, pointless! I wouldn’t say so.

I agree, speculation is a shared hopelessness for us all! How much longer? Can we sort things out before the transfer window closes, so we can strengthen the squad?

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

But if JW informs the ST that a sale has been agreed, it needs reporting doesn't it? I get that we are all a bit punch drunk from all the rumours and counter rumours but if info like that is passed on it needs reporting and talking about.

Or it just makes the anxious even more anxious?
No point worrying over something you have no control over.
When we have concrete news I will be the first to celebrate, until then I won't be wasting time guessing.

Yep but he has made previous similar statements, none of which has come to fruition.
Pass the information on with the massive disclaimer that JW is not always good on his word.

That goes without saying doesn't it? He is the dodgy owner that cried wolf but he is the only person who knows what is going on. If he chooses to play the Directors off against the fans and vice versa, that's up to him but we have to keep reporting what he is saying.
