Can't believe players thought it was better,it certainly wasn't,painful to watch, pass along the back, then goalkeeper,back4 pass it to each other so little excitement, painful to watch. Have a track record of non performance in major Cup tournaments

Current World rankings:
England 5th
Denmark 21st
Serbia 32nd
Slovenia 57th

Something like Spurs v Sheffield Utd, Birmingham and Fleetwood

Another miserable England performance. Southgate has picked the wrong squad and surely it is time for him to go. He was a poor manager at Middlesbrough and he shows in the Euros that he is not tactically up to the job.

Too many players on easy street, should have shook things up in that game and played Gorden and Palmer from the start and Watkins in for Kane, to much on his shoulders. Trent offers more than Walker but you cannot upset him! We are in a knock out now and if he continues like this nobody has any faith in Southgate even if he takes us further than most expect.

Southgate is trying to be too clever, we are trying to play like Man City and it doesn't work for us. We couldn't break down a 4-4-2 hard working basic team and wouldn't have scored if we were still playing at midnight. Too much finger pointing and chucking arms about for me. Centre backs walking with the ball and holding their arms out because there are no passes on is one of the worst sights in football.

Get the pacey lads on the wing and get players in the box and lets try and win a game.

Come on Keith England were very good in the first half. May be not quite as good as the I.O.M. but we were by far the better team in first half and just the better team overall. Lucky penalty I must agree.

England are improving now with each match. I really think we will finally do it. So many match winners in the squad and everyone waiting to do their bit

Somehow we have got in the final, so how do you beat Spain?

Well one thing that might help us is Spain might give us too much respect, I thought the Netherlands did, especially in the first half.

Colombia the last team to beat Spain back in March 2024. Brazil got a draw in a friendly and Albania did creditable losing 1-0 in the Group stages.

I think it’s about how Spain play, do they just come to beat us now we have become a resilient team or will the be a bit more cautious??

Gareth not going to spring any surprises

In my 67 yrs I’m still waiting for us to win a second competition, on Sunday we find out if Southgate is or isn’t that smelly stuff.

Only winning matters.

I'm no great fan of Southgate's style and he's dropped some clangers over the years but......
a) His record is impressive in competitions
b) He took the right squad to Germany
c) He made the right substitutions last night albeit a few minutes late including the subbing of Kane who is not fully fit

However, I think he'll start with Kane again and, although upsets do sometimes happen, I cannot see us beating Spain who are easily the stand out team of the tournament.

I was referring to the title of the thread! 8-)

I thought we were excellent in the first half. I don't think it was a penalty, surely Kane followed through and kicked the defender just as much as the defender kicked Harry? But, we could easily have had another couple of goals. Second half, Netherlands changed things around, and we returned to the tippy-tappy stuff. But excellent substitutions and a fantastic goal, put us through to another final.

Should be a good game on Sunday!

Southgate has had the pick of an outstanding group of players for some time and wasted the talent. This time in the Euros he had the luck of the draw and we have avoided the better teams until now! Let’s see how we do against the exciting Spain. If we manage to win I might need to rethink!
