Don't think the Trust should refer to an offer that exceeds the Trust's own valuation which was based on what criteria.. :?: :?: :?:

Guessing again, with more unsubstantiated codswallop

Just let those who really know the situation get on with it, and let the 'world' know when it's sorted.

If it is Sarb and his buddies, we should consider a NAPM Blackpool style protest.

If it is Mr Johal and his team taking over then let's give them a chance

But no one knows who it is apart from Jason so let's see what happens

Give them a chance???? The bloke didn't supply the necessary information to the EFL before and every bit of info that we know about him stinks so I hope, if it is him, that the EFL do their duty again and reject him. We can't do anything about it either before and certainly not after we've "given him a chance".

Probably didn't match the offer made previously by Sarbjot which appears to be dictating Jason's requirement.

It's not the Trusts valuation, it's the Football Finance experts we speak to. The Trust don't even think it's worth that.

Please remember than on the Trustee board we have a very experienced Chartered Accountant that is a Director of one of the larger Accountancy Firms in the area, and a Financial Advisor. This isn't us doing it off the back of a cigarette packet.

So Sarb Capital is suddenly worth £9million!!!

In accounts from 2022 JKM developers it says they own 10% shares in the pop company. JKM are only worth £150k

I am beginning to get a horrible feeling about the possible new ownership. I think there is a danger we are going out of the frying pan into the fire.

I wish we knew what aspects the EFL checks cover. I'm sure that the EFL doesn't want any more disastrous owners but we're not sure that they have the powers that are needed and the proposed independent regulator will have fallen by the wayside with a new Government coming in. It would probably have been too late to have any influence on our sale anyway.

Until any sale is confirmed any thoughts about a take over by Sarb Capital are pure speculation.

However assuming that Sarb are the new owners then as much as I have concerns about them we have to give them our backing and only hope that their investment in OUR club proves to be a success going foward.

Other clubs have seen an injection of funds from new owners (Carlisle and Burton Albion for example) and both clubs seem to be benefiting from the change in ownership.

Like others on this forum I have serious concerns about the potential owners for the simple reason as 'why do they want to purchase an EFL2 club in the North West when they are based in the Midlands'... :?:

What is so attractive about Morecambe FC when there are other clubs looking for investment much closer to their base.... :?:

This is a question that to date remains a mystery. It's not as though any investment in any football club at our level will be a profitable venture...or am i wrong.. :?:

I can understand it if any takeover was undertaken by a local consortium made up in the main of fans of our club as they would be in it for the love of their club who want it to be a success....BUT an organisation based in the Midlands.... :?: :?: :?:

As i have said above if it is Sarb Capital then we have to only hope that their interest in owning OUR club is genuine and for that reason we have to give them time to prove that they their reasons for their ownership are genuine...despite our reservatrions.

Well done to the Shrimps Trust for their latest update - highlighting that they have been contacted by a prospective owner that has had a bid rejected, but remains interested. For some reason people on here and elsewhere have aimed criticism towards them - when all they are being is transparent; something that the club severely lacks (VAT fiasco) and why so many have not renewed season tickets.... why would you?

To my mind it is clear that the clubs latest announcement is merely the latest attempt by that duplicitous toad, Jason Whittingham, to indirectly put pressure on the EFL to try and push through another sale to Sarb Capital; his preferred bidder from the very start. This is exactly the same as what happened previously. I find it hard to understand how Sarbjot will ever pass the EFL due diligence and prove the source of his funding is legitimate whilst also proving that he is a fit and proper person. A complete waste of time.

If this is the case, then in reality the sale process has not progressed at all - which is very disappointing. Thanks to the Trust, it is good to know that credible buyers (who do meet the EFL criteria for football club ownership) are a very real alternative for Jason - who apparently wants to sell, but seemingly won't unless its to a 'tycoon' with a fictitious soft drinks empire that nobody has ever heard of.

I'm not sure why we should worry too much about how far away from Morecambe potential owners are. In the past there was speculations about Americans and they aren't even in the country and, let's face it, Bond Group are not particularly local......Oh I see what you mean!

You can only guess that if there's significant movement in Sarb Capital's finances, this can only mean that they are the preferred bidder and likely to take over very soon.

Its really hard to know what Sarb's motives are, as I suspect any takeover will likely lead to resignations or removal of the current board and replacements needing to be paid. Then an upward PR battle to claim legitimacy amongst the staff, fanbase, corporate partners etc. There's been no attempt to really counter concerns so far, so doubt that would change if they were in charge.

Worrying times.

Very much so and it's extremely hard to take if, as the Trust statement leads us to believe, there is someone else keen to take us over.

To play devil's advocate , if it does turn out to be Sarb or a Sarb Consortium is it really any worse than Bond group and Jason ?

We have no land that is of any use for building , no real assets to strip , so that isn't the motive behind purchasing Morecambe FC who are an EFL2 club.

Might be my imagination but the G3 pitches owned by Tyson Fury look as though someone has been working on them. They look in better condition. Will our new owners have the available cash to buy them off Tyson as well as the land behind the Berlin Wall ?

As Jonny Nash sung "There are more questions than answers" !
