JW on talk sport.

One would assume that before agreeing to the job as manager, Adams would have taken some time to ponder whether Whittingham's potential buyers for the club actually existed and he was serious in his intentions in selling.

I think the 'rolling contract' will be short-term (month to month?) so if something positive doesn't happen, he'd be able to go quite easily.

Oh, there would be plenty.

I have been sceptical about JW selling and I’m still not convinced. The consensus is there is genuine offers on the table, so what’s the hold up? Are they getting weary of JW holding out?

Not wanting to cling on to a sale but did JW mean 10-14 working days, NOT.

I'm not sure you're right there. I would have thought the consensus was scepticism.

The Board of Directors suggested genuine offers were made. The problem is, a 'genuine offer' made by a sensible person, may be a long way short of Whittingham's crackpot valuation, boosted by a 'drink's magnate' who never sold a drink.

Looks as though Jason is acting true to form.

Suggests a deal is close but doesn't deliver.

When will we be shot of his meaningless utterings... :?: :?: :?:

I've said it before and i'll say it again.....as long as he keeps loaning money to the club at ridiculous interest rates he's winning all hands up....

He says he wants to sell and has evidently convinced our BoDs that he is genuine..but for me he's playing a game at the expense of our club.....with no sight of any end game as far as I can see..

He's a master in the art of deception....and we are the ones being deceived.

Not sure many actually did BW it's just that they really wanted to believe it rather than face reality. I'm not even sure the Board believed him. It's called being optimistic in the face of adversity and it's a human trait. Hope is something that makes life worth living.

I know you keep saying it, but do we know that is the case? The Board of Directors would need to approve any loans, so surely they would be at a reasonable/commercial rate? I'm not being argumentative, or even suggesting you are wrong, simply wondering if there is evidence to demonstrate this?

JW mentions the loan and where he gets the money for the loans from in his Talksport interview.

Thanks. I couldn't bring myself to listen to his bollocks. Does he (or anyone) confirm the interest rate or size of loans?

Competetive interest rates and Charles Street commercial investments. There is an outstanding charge on Companies House

So in reality, this is 'ball park' what we'd be paying anyway, regardless of whether Whittingham was lending the money, or somewhere else. It may have some impact upon his reasoning (assuming he has 'reasoning') but probably not the main driver.

I still think the reality is, any genuine offers are realistic in terms of valuation of the club, but Whittingham still thinks the crazy talk of the past is something he can get. If a genuine offer of [say] £2 million was made, but Sarbjot had offered [say] £9 million, even though he was never actually going to pay anything, then Whittingham sets all other offers against the £9 million benchmark.

Figures made up, to demonstrate my point. I've no idea what may or may-not have been made.
