New Manager?

I know some would like JC to be the man in charge but for me it's between DA and DH at the moment but with no resolve to our off field problems the prospect of a new manager at the moment is some way off I would imagine.

:?: :?: :?:

That's the problem. It can't be some way off as the new season is fast approaching and whoever does get the job will need some time to get a squad together, start pre-season training and maybe play a friendly or 2. Time is one thing we are fast running out of.

Sounds as though 'positivity' is in very short supply on this forum.....

Pre season training WILL start around 1 July...

I would think any manager without a club will have an application in at more than one Club. So even if we identify anyone, the problem is they could delay till they have another interview at a Club that is more (much more sound).

The embargo as I have said before doesn’t really affect us because we will sign only out of contract players and bring in 5-6 youngsters wanting experience on loan contracts. So get a manager (I was hopeful that one would be appointed before June  ) and start building a team.

I think we will put out a team in League two, what it will look like heaven knows!

Not that much difference to that which faced DA last season..... :!:

For me it's crucial that we have a manager who is well respected in the game and is well known for his ability to coach loanees from Championship and Premiership clubs.....all points in my view to only one candidate to manage and that is.....the King ( as much as I dislike his tactics at times) but his record of managing a club on a small budget is exemplary.

I think we'd all be over the moon to get DA but will he come back again without being absolutely certain that off field situation has been resolved? I doubt it :(

I wonder if the reason no appointment has been made, is Derek waiting to see how the situation is resolved (or not). If the US bid is accepted, Derek will be our next manager. If we go into administration, it won't be him.

He only lasted 3 months at Tranmere. Would be able to get us a few loans from Burnley.

We need to appoint someone very soon, as I was saying I was hoping before June but this week will do, what ever happens with the club.

Or a ‘Smooth Operator’ or a ‘Sweet Talking Guy’ or ‘The Devil in Disguise’ or anybody who turns out to be an owner who ends up ‘Guilty in the First Degree’ of ‘Burning Down the House’.

The New manager let’s see who it is and what the strength and type of squad they can assemble. We have got to appoint someone this week to get going on the above, that is imperative.

Alan Nixon reporting "Morecambe and Adams to team up again" on Twitter, assuming this is Derek and not Joe who we had on loan. There normally is an element of truth to Nixon's posts but I'm not paying for his patreon to find out the full story.

It would be brilliant news, if true, because Derek would only be coming back if something was sorted ownership-wise, that he is happy with.
