We have doubled our playing staff.

A big shout out to Gwion for agreeing a contract, I hope he continues to reduce on the field, he really does have it in him to play at a higher level.

This has the possibility that if it needs be and he wants to we can sell him.

I never got the 1yr contracts last year, short vision on somebody’s behalf.

More like we didn't have the stability to make the contracts for two years.......so what's happened to change that?

I wonder indeed!………. I hope the Club gets completely sorted out and provides some stability, it has been a rocky last 2yrs.

The vision that was needed to stay in League One was missing and we crashed out of that league. I thought we would learn from that but the friction created by the ownership fiasco, I felt, ultimately affected the Club, even thou we were continually told it didn’t. It most certainly meant DA walked away in my humble opinion.

The fans have been patient and in the main dignified in its vocal hostility to the ownership of the Club. Hopefully that soon becomes sorted and as always at the end of a dark night there is the light of a new dawn.

I get the gist of your argument and thanks for it. You make some good points. How the business is run is only relevant to whoever wishes to either buy it or invest in it not the customer. However you are correct in stating that the business has to be open to some extent if they wish their customers to pay upfront for a service (ie fans buying season tickets ) that they may not be able to deliver or is of a sub standard as this is a major consideration of buying the said ticket. I am sorry about the Dukes comparison as I realise it is funded differently but it was the principle I was trying to get over. Some on here though want to know everything that is going on and demand this and that from the board like how much is the VAT owed. It’s none of their business to know the figure but I again agree with you the club should be clearer if the dept is threatening the survival of the business but is that cutting their own throat?
The customers need to let the board get on with it and if it goes awry well that’s experience for you.

This was a reply from Argumentative who had posted that fans have no right to know as customers what is going on in the background at the club.

Now some of the people on here are speculating Argumentative is JW, now I do not know if that’s true and I did ask Argumentative to come forward and dispel those rumours if they are not JW but they haven’t. Now you can take from that what you will but I just want some respect for the supporters of this Club from the JW and with the meeting between the Shrimps Trust due to take place this week I want him to be up front. The Club have written two open letters that have spelt out what is happening and it’s up to JW to respond, which he hasn’t yet.

Jason's reply is legally correct and set out like a true business man but, as pointed out often on SV's, a football club is more than just a business, it is part of the heart and soul of the community.
Good luck to the Trust in trying to persuade this guy to sell at a realistic price.

Anyone suggesting that if 'the business' you support "goes awry" the "customers" should just chalk it down to "experience" is quite clearly not a fan of any football club (or rugby club for that matter) and is only interested in money.

I used to be a customer of Woolworths. It went bust. Oh dear, that's a shame, in particular for the people it employed. I moved on and found somewhere else to shop. I used to buy my camera equipment from Jessops and was mildly concerned when they stopped trading on the high street. But that mild concern lasted a very short time. I'd rather not buy camera equipment on-line, as I prefer to handle it first, but I have done so and it isn't a huge issue.

But if Whittingham's mismanagement leads to the demise of our football club, I'll never support another team. I'd be unlikely to ever attend a live football match again. If 'Argumentative' doesn't understand that, he's got no understanding of football fans.

Or, he does understand, and he's a troll.

As a shareholder ( if somewhat small in comparison to others) I feel insulted that JW feels that I have no right to ask questions about my club and in particular the matter concerning the embargo.

Even more so at the moment when the transfer of ownership seems to have come to an uneasy and unacceptable halt for whatever reason.

Jason says he wants to sell....our BoDs appear convinced that he is genuine...so what is the hold up :?:

I have long thought that like everything in business it comes down to the value placed on our club that potential buyers feel is unreasonable.

It has been suggested that there is interest from America but it would appear negotiations have come to a halt or did they ever exist :?:

A few weeks ago the club was closed for any business one afternoon. I wonder if it was to do a live presentation to the Americans who could get a real hands on feel of what our club is all about :?:

I'm off on my holidays in a few days time. It would be excellent if when I return in a couple of weeks time to find that mu club's problems have been resolved...but some how I doubt it and the uncertainty of what the future holds still remains and has reached crisis proportions.

I'm pretty sure this has been covered before, but how many shares do 'we' hold?
I've only a handful, but between us supporters surely we have a decent amount?

& this meeting, I'm sure it's so he can proudly tell us the sale is now done & dusted & the new owner is....................(insert name here)

'We' have about 20% of the shares which is useless in terms of having a say in anything. It's made up of literally 100's of people, some not with us any longer and includes the larger amounts held by Abdul and Sarbjot so good luck with that.

I think there are just over 5 million shares at £1 each, maybe where Jasons value comes from?

So it's not just Jason who loses out if we go into administration but Abdul and Sarbjot?

I think those 2 have already lost out. They own hundreds of thousands of worthless shares and have nothing to show for it. They won't be getting any dividends anytime soon and they have no say in the running of the football club.
