If Jordy Hiwula is even on the bench today then its a joke, last sunday against Salford he was awful, did not see him touch the ball for the entire first half period! 2 or 3 long balls went towards him and he looked likely to reach them but he seemed to move away from them and the defenders just mopped up easily. He was a total embarrassment on the day.Would be best to release him if we can and use academy players instead.

I'm prepared to give him a bit longer. I agree he was poor at Salford, but who wasn't? Bad day at the office for everyone. He's not played for a long time, so this is almost like a pre-season at the moment. We were playing a lot of long, hoofs up the pitch last week. Hopefully, if it is back on the deck, he'll come good.

Must agree from what I’ve seen he’s been yards off the pace
Also prefer slew to come off the bench and cause problems for their defence when their defenders are getting tired

Shouldn't be anywhere near a football league pitch

He was lucky not to be back on the bench during the game when things got a bit heated on the touch line !

I think it was on Twitter I read it but a Doncaster Rovers fan labelled him their worst EVER player.

But he was Coventy City's leading goalscorer in League One in 2018/19 & doing well the following season until he got injured.

And Adam Smith was the best keeper in League Two in 2017. Keith, 2018 was six years ago now. That’s half a senior career ago. He’s hopeless!

Hiwula certainly not impressed so far. Problem is, I’m not totally convinced about Ged Garner either - aside from those early goals he scored, I don’t know what he offers.

Still think we’re missing a physical centre forward. Hope we have one next season.

He's played seven times in 14 months, I'd be amazed if he hit the ground running. I agree, he's not impressed yet. Hopefully, the important part is 'yet'. He's got [potentially] seven games to resurrect his career. Fingers crossed he does so.

For ANY player to be out of the game for an extended period will affect his fitness levels and although he no doubt stayed 'fit'....it wasn't match day fitness which is a totally different animal.

There is an excellent player in that body but needs game time AND a close season fitness regime to resurrect his goal scoring prowess and I'd have him back on a 6 month contract to see if he can reach his previous heights.....alongside that of Brandon Barker who has the potential to be an outstanding player at our level at least.

How come we don't hear mention of progress on Brandon Barker's injury in Ged's preview videos? Is he out for the season?

Has he actually played a game for us since signing?

He was a star in Manchester City's Academy, we've dropped lucky if we can get him signed for next season.
Class Act, trust me on this.
Steven Gerrard signed him for 4,000,000 quid for Rangers.

I hoped we would be surprised by the players who had signed new contracts. Unfortunately I am really disappointed and feel if we survive to begin the season we are going to struggle. I had hoped a new owner was in the wings- it doesn't look like there is!
