I agree RR. However with Rawson. I think some of the goals in the past week would have been prevented.

The chance of a comeback has gone now. Our goal raised hopes, but the one way traffic resumed.
We just don't seem to have been up for this game from the kickoff. I just hope that my comment inspires them to score again. Twice, fingers crossed.

We have conceded more goals than Forest Green (who are 2nd bottom)

That's where the problems are

This has been shite. We can't keep giving teams 2x0 head starts and this needs looking into asto why.

The trouble is recently we have started games really sloppily and often conceded! From then it’s backs against the wall time often leading to conceding a 2nd goal! Very poor showing again I’m afraid. I think we have to give aged a bit of time but I still think he wasn’t the right man for the job more the cheap option! Hope I’m proved wrong but a mid table finish beckons at best!

So back to 5 wins out of 8. Looks unattainable doesn’t it. We are where we are.

No I agree with Redrobo. We are conceding an awful lot of very very basic goals and we are not improving. We have been made to look very second best by a very average team (that’s probably being kind to them, really they are a dreadful team), not for the first time in recent months. I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t win another game this season looking at the way things are going. We effectively dropped out of the playoff race on Tuesday contrary to what some optimists (fantasists) on here may have believed and the players have played all day today like it’s a post-season friendly.

3 1 flatters us.. Could have been 5 or 6 or 7

Yes we have issues behind the scenes, injuries etc but no excuse for shipping 11 goals in a week

Play offs gone whatever anyone thinks

The blinkers clearly are out in force!

Under Adams, we played eight away games. Lost five, won three. The three we won were Forest Green, Sutton & Colchester, the current bottom three.

Under Garner, we've played eleven. Lost four, drawn two and won five. Of the five wins, two are in the top five.

Derek Adams away from home: 1.125 points per game
Ged Garner away from home: 1.54 points per game.

Yes, today has been poor, but pop the blinkers off for a moment.

I agree Keith we have had some good wins and draws under Ged but fact is we are shipping far to many goals

On course for conceding 80 ish

Thank goodness I'm off the Centre Parc for the week to try and forget how poor we have been over the last few games.

Have to say that when FG come to town I can't see us getting anything the way they are playing at the moment. Just hope that we can claim some bragging rights v Barrow and Stanley....fingers crossed. :o

Wonder what excuses there will be this time.

Time for Ged to stop being the nice guy and dish out some bollockings....

Is Ged under contract until end of the season.... :?: :?: :?:

And that's exactly my point. If we only focus on the negatives, we miss the positives. Today we've been awful, but we've had some excellent performances too. On balance, we're doing okay.

1 crazy stat...

Away from home conceded 46 (worst in division)
scored 33 (2nd best in division)

How bizarre

I not sure that comparisons between the two managers are especially helpful really. I am concerned that if we were to retain the same management and the bulk of the same squad next season, we’d really be in trouble. We look no better than Sutton United and we seem to be getting progressively worse.

Probably 70 percent of this squad won't be here next season for various reasons

Once we went behind, we went very defensive. We couldn't sting two passes together. Any time there was a chance to breakout, which has been our way of playing, there wasn't a Morecambe player beyond the halfway line. Well beaten, never looked like winning.
In fairness, after Adams left, if anyone had suggested that we would be where we are currently in the league, I would have laughed at them. Amazingly we have beaten and more than matched some of the top teams in the league. Our downfall has been that we don't seem to be able to raise our game against the lower teams. I'll settle for a top half finish this season and hope that we can rebuild for next season.

All of these wins we have had since the turn of year, we haven’t looked comfortable in any of them and yet we have been comfortably beaten a few times now. That suggests that we have to be at our absolute best to get anything from games. That is going to be mentally exhausting and it really does feel like we’ve finally run out of steam (that was pretty apparent on Tuesday).

Shocking performance. That striker shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch.

We are clueless. This free, attacking football is a myth. It's like watching football played on a playground at dinner time.

Two top class lower league Managers out of work btw.

I don't think Ged Brannan will be so pleased you giving all the credit to his striker. ;)

Now do it for the home games. Don't need any blinkers when you pay to travel, pay to enter and are then served that shite. The PR machine is well in gear now but don't believe the hype. We are a worse team now than under Derek. Season ticket sales will be the yard stick.
