Brian Fagan was being interviewed by Tim Padfield.

BF pointed out the raised area for the pitch that was in the middle of the site and that for the next 6 weeks the work to raise the land and prepare for piling would continue.

The main work for the stadium was currently being tendered for and we should see building going up in about 2 months.

The main stand was going to be quite a huge building with a 300 capacity banquet suite and several smaller conference rooms adjacent and that it would be very attractive to businesses.

The Pirelli Stadium was built because the previous stadium Eton Park had become run down and was limited in the ways it could generate income for the club outside of matchdays. The new Pirelli Stadium offers potential for generating income seven days of the week, including conference rooms throughout the main stand with the largest holding 300 people. On match days there are nine directors boxes available for supporters wanting a more relaxed view of the game. There are four bars, one on each side of the ground, which are all open before and during games.

One side of the ground "The Main Stand", is the only seated stand at the club and can hold just over 2000 supporters. The other three stands are terraced and are the favourites for most supporters.

Ring any bells :?: :?: :?:

Yes Phil it does ring bells.

It sounds like the ground we played Burton Albion at some years back. ;)

We all liked the ground then, especially the excellent facilities for the supporters, including decent affordable food.

I seem to remember we played crap though, didn't we score somewhere near the end of the game too?

I see that Karen Brady's husband has taken over as manager (there's no way I'm even attempting paul's surname without googling it). As long as they don't run out of faggots and peas then I'll be happy.

I would like to know some more information on how they are going to make the pitch (like CC said do you put the the tur down first or last) and overcome the drainage issues.

hasn't the drainage issue been sorted by raising the level of the land above the water table ?

..and it looks like it's been 'sat' on some comprehensive drainage platform.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Sorry folks, I've stuggled to find a sentence to wrap this around but failed miserably. Maybe you can do it better.
