Sounds like a fairytale. Hope Joe Lewis can hack it

It just goes to show, yet again, that whilst you can't buy the Premier League title (well you can given time) You certainly CAN buy promotions from the lower leagues.

If they can maintain their progress using the nucleus of "lower" League players then good luck to them. There's quite a few million quids worth of talent in Boyd, McClean, Mackail Smith and Joe Lewis and they are resisting to make a quick buck so fair play.

Of course you can buy the Premier League title. In the early 90's Man Uniteds dominance was built on a sound youth system and the ability to poach the best young players off their rivals. More recently they, Chelsea and Liverpool have relied upon big money buys to wrestle the championship amongst each other. Eventually they'll cripple themselves into submission. Liverpool will spend big again this summer, Chelsea only need one man to walk away for the deck of cards to cave in, whilst Manchester United couldn't afford the repayment of the interest applicable on their substancial loan repayments this year despite winning every trophy going. There is a limit on revenues, but not it seems on spending.

Whilst Peterborough have spent a lot of money, they have spent very wisely. Players such as Lewis, Boyd, McLean, Mackail-Smith are probably worth more now than the transfer fee they paid, despite the current financial climate.
