No surprises there. Great having internationals but it must be costing us playing Tuesdays rather than Saturdays, also the fixture build up will be tough

The Barrow game didn't cost us any revenue. Crawley will only bring 150 ish whether Tuesday or Saturday. Crewe near enough for them to send a decent number on a Tuesday.

More chance of us getting points if we don't have to play without 5 first team starters.

Next Sat home game Stockport 9th Dec! a long time off, DA says we get compensated, well I hope we do. It is great these youngster have international recognition, but they could get injured, rather have them playing, learning, growing and winning games for the Shrimps, keep going like this and we will run out of Tuesdays!!

Having 5 players called up on a regular basis for their countries is a fantastic thing in my eyes... Long may it continue

If it means cancelling a few games then so be it

Agreed! Shows the quality we have in our squad and what a great job DA is doing helping players careers.

I also agree, long may it continue. The more young players who improve with us, to the point of being called up for internationals, must make it increasingly likely that parent clubs will allow more young players come on loan to us. Derek's development of young lads is to be celebrated, even if we miss some Saturday games.

So how did that work out then?

It is annoying not having a home game for so long but financially it does strangely make sense. Crewe are doing very well so will probably bring nearly as many for a night game as a Saturday game.

As Derek says the club gets compensation for each day a player is away on international duty, so times five that could be quite handy. Can't find any actual figures on line for the Euros but FIFA paid clubs £8,500 per day per player away on World Cup finals duty. Not suggesting it will be anywhere near that sum but with the length of time players are away it could still amount to a reasonable amount. It would appear the compensation comes direct from FIFA.

Good bit of business by the club.
