1/3rd of the season

1/3rd of the season

Our away game at Barrow is one of the games we have in hand, so it’s important we keep this run going. As for the first 1/3rd of the season, well how about that eh! 27pts before the 15th game, playing some good football, looking solid at the back and getting some luck after 2yrs of hard luck. Derek has put together a great squad for this league and winning brings confidence and confidence brings that extra bit of magic of togetherness, nobody want to be the one to make a mistake and the work rate is always high and a bad spell is in the main not leading to the opposition scoring, we have held on to wins by one goal and scored late to get a win or nick a draw. It’s important not to get carried away and a point now is always a good point. Some hard games in the next third taking us into the new year so we will see where we are then, the league in the main will have settled down and we need to be up there in the top part of the league for the final push in the lads 1/3rd. A pat on the back for us the fans as well we have been excellent in our support.

8 games unbeaten in the league? 4 consecutive wins? 2nd in the form table? It's a golden period! Some of the summer squad additions have been incredible so far.

Some of our existing players have been incredible too! Slew in particular looks fantastic now he's playing with freedom & confidence. Love has been excellent.

So how did that work out then?
