AFC Wimbledon (H) Predictions

AFC Wimbledon (H) Predictions

Postby AndyReifman » Tue Oct 24, 2023 8:56 pm

Don't look now, but we're a point outside the promotion spots with 2 matches in hand. Also unbeaten in the League in 6 matches!

Wimbledon lost 2-4 to Accrington today but generally are off to a solid start this season.

Going to be a pretty bare squad based on injuries and suspensions so I'm thinking it will be a nervy 1-0 win.

Wimbledon good away form, but I think we have made the league aware now we are a good team, meaning squad wise. Thous coming in doing so well, everyone working so hard and together. With injury’s we usually suffer but I don’t think we will lose but I don’t think we will win a draw 1-1.

I think we look really good recently but we've got potentially 9 players out for this.

Moore out for an extended period apparently, so is Taylor. Unclear what is going on with King, apparently we're due an update tomorrow but Derek suggested it's not an injury and he's not returned from Cardiff yet.

Bedeau, Mayor and Connolly all suspended. Rawson, Love and Tutonda all doubtful but could play a part.

I'll go 1-1 for this. I think our reserve players will put in a good showing but it will be really tough to get a win with that much rotation. Wonder if we'll even have enough to fill the bench.

If King is not injured and he's been away for a week or two now it looks as if he may not be coming back.

The yellow cards have come back to bite us at an awkward time as this would have been a tough game anyway. I think we could have won with a full strength team but it's going to be very difficult now.

1-0 loss :(

Forgot about that. If Tutonda, Rawson and Love don’t make it the line up will be very interesting. Hopefully a couple of them are fit to play.

Wimbledon are not only unbeaten away from home, they've only conceded three goals in eight games. With our injury & suspension list, I'll not be unhappy with a draw, but for the purposes of the competition, I'll stay optimistic and a second clean sheet on the trot... 1-0 :D

So how did that work out then?
