FA cup draw today

FA cup draw today

Postby Bare bum » Sat Oct 14, 2023 5:59 pm

Sunday 2.30 ITV 1

We're ball number 29 - don't ask, we just are.

Who do you fancy? Who do you think we'll get?

I quite fancy Hereford, Chester, Whitby or Marine.

A low ranking, non-League club, away, so we're on TV. Nice cash bonus, and if we don't win, it is our own fault. Similar in Round Two. Then away at one of the big Premier League clubs in the Third Round. Ta.

So, away at Peterborough, Stevenage or Oxford it is then!

Son in law and I would have preferred Scarboro at home as he is a 'Boro supporter BUT they probably blew it yesterday allowing Oxford City a last minute equalizer with a replay now at Oxfoed where Oxford have a decent home record.

Any home tie would be excellent but knowing our luck we'll probably get an away tie at a real banana skin of a tie....probably Chester or someone similar.

Well we know what to expect....no banana skin tie.

Difficult tie but we go there knowing that we can win.

Not that impressive record of late.

Could easily have added Lincoln to that list. What a crap draw. Lincoln will be favourites, and zero chance of being a live game. Add to that, a ball ache to get to and zero added interest, as their a team we've played them many times. Could have been worse, but not by much.

Personally I think we have a better all round squad capable of causing an EFL1 club a problem than that of last season.

We've now broken the hoodoo of not winning away so that is a massive monkey off our backs.

Just for anyone actually interested in this one  it'll probably be the Saturday as they have a fireworks display at the ground on the Sunday evening with players in attendance.
