2023/24 Prediction League Table

Welcome back to the Prediction League for the 23/24 season with our return League Two!

With the indomitable (I think I used that word correctly) Sakhalin Shrimp deciding to step down from hosting the prediction league I have volunteered to take over for this season!

The same rules will apply as have for previous seasons.

2 points for correct result (win/draw/lose). if you predicted the result correctly, 1 point for each teams’ correctly predicted score, plus 1 bonus point if you predicted both teams’ scores correctly.

Incorrect result, zero points, even if you get one of the teams’ score correct.
Any cup/trophy game that plays extra time/penalties rather than a replay, the score at the end of normal time counts.

If you spot any errors, please let me know. Be gentle, I'm new at this.

I'll be posting the tables for the first two matches shortly.

Game 2, Rotherham Away in whatever the name of this trophy/cup is these days.

For 15 minutes it looked like we might sneak out a win but sadly just a draw with a loss on penalties. Reminder that in a match like this it's the FT score that matters. Black Morse was the only to predict a draw so he gets the 2 points to get on the board.

Bradford (H), none of us predicted such a commanding win! Plenty of people thought we'd take the full 3 points, but most people thought it would be a much closer match. vvm maintains their lead but bigbobshrimp is close in the hunt.

Once again, please let me know if you spot a mistake. Some of my formulas are starting to get truly tested now that we're well into the season.
