Forest Green Home: Played 5, Lost 5, For 3, Against 13
Morecambe Away: Played 3, Lost 3, For 1, Against 7

Something has got to give. FGR's first point[s] at home or our first point[s] away?

I'm hoping we go out and attack FGR from minute one. We've seen that we can play. Don't allow them possession, as they'll grow in confidence. Attack them and put them under pressure. Then, if we get ahead, keep pushing. The worst thing we can do is allow them lots of possession and to settle in to the game.

0-3 from a good, positive, attacking display.

Or, a defensive away performance and...

We know how we set up against bottom of the League sides last season. Let's not do that again.

Away game and finally an away win Forest Green 0 Morecambe 2. October then a big chance of getting a good points tally. 21 on offer and I believe we are good enough to get 14+.

We seem to have 2 prediction threads for FGR now. Andy had already started one.

I think our away record is slightly misleading and not terrible , just fairly unproductive.

Mansfield away was terrible although they are a bogey team for us.

Rotherham away , I think we played pretty well against a Championship team.

Harrogate away , we were well in it until a refereeing decision for a penalty and a free kick goal and a sending off for a decision that should have been a kick for us.

Gillingham away , I think we played pretty well and could easily have taken a point.

FGR 1-2 Morecambe

Improved away performance at Gillingham can hopefully be a turning point for our away form. Our visit to the New Lawn also yielded a Shrimps win last season, one of only two that we managed during the campaign (admittedly at a higher level).

We beat them 1-2 at theirs in L1 at this time last year. We're a better team than them in L2 this season.
However
They've now got Troy Deeney up front
But
Their defence is shockingly bad and they're not winning at home.
Our first 11 is better than theirs, with the exception possibly of Troy v Michael.
I predict we'll win 3-2.
Scintilating; both Troy and Michael to score.
Who'd want to smell like you?

Are you lot completely befuddled?

Do none of you want to win this competition?

We're away, we're reasonably high in confidence, we won't have Jann clearing up, we're playing a team below us.
