It's that long ago I can't remember specific details but it was one of those matches amongst thousands of others which leave a trace in the memory banks. The weather was foul and we were going nowhere when we suddenly clicked into gear and blew Marine away. 0-3 down to 4-3 up. No small achievement because Marine were on a par with us at the time and indeed were probably the better outfit for a few years. You won the NPL but couldn't go up due to stadium issues (your new stand hadn't been built then as I remember). We finished second and took your place due to our superior stadium being suitable for the league above. The rest is history!
It was similar in many respects to other great comebacks over the years such as the Chesterfield 4-3 win and the Crewe 4-2 win. Great memories.
Not sure if it was at that time that Chris 'the bull' Camden was playing for you. What a unit that guy was and must have been a nightmare for defenders. He's about the only player I can remember for you from way back when.
On a slightly different note your recent FA cup run was surreal. Loved watching you take on Spurs at College Road. Superb stuff.

Wasn't Chris Camden known as "The Water Buffalo" ?

Match played towards the end of March and a MASSIVE crowd gathered on CP to watch 1st v 2nd grind out a 0-0 draw.
My abiding memory is of the Marine keeper - gobshite Kevin O'Brien - gesturing to the Morecambe fans in the Christie Avenue End at the final whistle.
