Attendances to date

Postby redrobo » Thu Aug 17, 2023 11:05 am

One pleasing thing so far has been the way that our home support has not significantly reduced from last season.

Interestingly Accy's gate v Barrow was 2156 with circa 550 from Barrow which after travelling along the corridor to nowhere was good although I would have expected a few more from Barrow seeing how they have performed so far this season and could be up there in the top 10 come the end of the season as it appears that their manager has got them well organised from their training base in Manchester.

The Accy away end that we normally pack out was closed v Barrow....sign of the times at Accy... :?: :?: :?:

It does feel like there is a little more room in the home end this season, however half time behind the stand feels as busy as ever.

Great stats from last year, Little old Morecambe averaging over 4,500 for the season. It would be a great achievement to average over 3,000 this season.

It would be nice to beat Barra's average from last season, but we need success on the field to acheive that.

7 of our first 10 are away (including the Rumbelows Cup), if you’re picking and choosing then £10 to watch on iFollow so you can save pennies for Stockport on Saturday makes sense.

Circa 1,600 home Accy fans very poor on a nice Tuesday evening with no Chumpions League on TV.

We had 3,200 home fans on the same night.

An excellent turnout Dave, and not a short trip from Barrow either really tbf.

On a side note, why was the standing section at Accy closed I wonder ??

They said they’d open it if we filled the seats on the night but we didn’t so it was a moot point. They charge the same to stand up as to sit so it’s not like they were trying to profit by filling the seats first.
