I suspect this is crap news for us. Sky will be falling over their favourites, who will receive even more cash, while teams like Morecambe will only ever appear when playing a favourite, so the have's will get more and the have-not's will get an occasional scrap.

They could have scrapped that rule, then made every game available over the internet. They could have sold subscriptions and split the money paid equally. I can't see this being good for us. We may get [say] 15% more income from broadcasting rights, but if Wrexham/Stockport/Notts County (or the equivalent media darlings in the league at that time) get 150% more, then the ability to compete on a level playing field just gets further away.
