O/T Afgan Ladies team

Should FIFA have refused to recognize the Afgan Ladies team as it was based Australia made up of female refugees :?: :?: :?:

FIFA refused to recognize them because the Afgan authoraties in Karbul does not recognize women and therefore the country's ladies team :?: :?: :?:

To enter the World cup each team has to be officially sanctioned by its own country's football authority.

Sad....very sad....but a sad reflection of the political issues in that country and the non recognition of women in general.

Ooooff. Held my breath when I saw the title and the poster but I think you've plotted your way through that ok.

FIFA are shite but I guess they had no option here. There would be the danger of different groups from the same country claiming they represent their country if accommodated. And if they set a precedent then it could lead to future claims of representation creating chaos.

Very sad.....but whatever views we have of our own they will fall on deaf ears. And it ain't just about recognising Afghan women in sport, it's practically in all walks of life. I don't think FIFA had a lot of choice tbh, as there were other hurdles to get over before FIFA became involved
