Well, that was a first half! Let's see if we can do the same against Walsall on match day 1.

All that's missing in Rawson's game is his goal-bound heading......hopefully he's found the Dave Artell touch. :D

Been to watch our lads at Bursco quite a few times under numerous previous managers but never seen as many goals for us against them.

They always gave us a test....something must have happened to them to go down 1-10 OR was it simply that we proved to be so clinical.... :?: :?: :?:

What we mustn't do is go overboard about this result when we know that EFL2 will be bloody hard this season.

Probably some of it down to our new impressive midfield and forward line. Not easy scoring goals against lower opposition as we have found in the past.

According to Twitterers there , Burton defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson was present at the game.

Ok, lowly opposition but still a brilliant result. Lots of goals will give the lads confidence when the sterner tests come against higher opposition

Exactly, and you can't lose a game if you're playing in the opposition's half of the pitch. Fingers crossed we'll see the other side of King Derek when it matters against Walsall and beyond.

Accrington lost 2-3 at home to Conference opposition albeit Chesterfield.

I prefer our result for morale to theirs.

In the same way that I wasn't upset about losing to Warrington, I'm not overly enthused by today's win either, but, as others have mentioned, such a big win, with lots of goals, has got to be good for confidence.
