Looks as though we are thin on the ground for first day back.

However have never seen DA look so happy ....maybe he has numerous players waiting to sign up... :?:

Let's hope so.... ;)

He finally is free of the "baggage" of other managers and can continue to build his own team, based on the qualities, attributes, attitude and abilities he values. No wonder he's a happy man! He will now sink or swim on his own decisions. We know he can bring out the best of players, get them to gel and work together, etc. The promotion season proved that, against all the odds. This is going to be a defining season for him, if it all falls apart again, then he's no one else to blame, but personally, I'm confident, not that we're going to compete for promotion, (thought that would be nice!!), but I don't think we're going to languish around the bottom of the table all season - I think safety and staying around mid table all season would be classed as a success given the low budget and then next Summer, he can develop the squad further after hopefully being able to re-sign most of the regular starters. We've had too many "ground zeros" for the last 2/3 Summers and time for a steady "core" of players that stay for the longer term.
