McGoldrick to Notts County.

If anyone was under any illusions that we would be one of the front runners this season then signings like this make you realise how difficult it will probably be in what looks like one of the strongest EFL 2 line up of clubs in recent seasons.

He has shunned a new contract at Derby, where he scored 22 EFL 1 goals last season, to go back to his boyhood club County.

Meanwhile we face a major rebuild. I'd be happy with a season of consolidation to be honest.

Totally agree. Until our ownership issues are sorted out, it will continue to be incredibly difficult. Unless there is a swift conclusion, then I think mid-table will be a decent position, and it may even be, happy if we aren't relegated. A total rebuild, and on-going off-field chaos does not lend itself to success.

Rebuild, consolidate, get decent owners, then, try to move forwards in 24/25 season.

So how did that work out then?

A lot will depend on how DA and Greg are able to bring to the club talented players who may have failed elsewhere and whether they can mold them into a competitive squad for what will be a testing season for OUR club.

Survival is the maim objective but it would be good to support a team who put 100% into every game to get themselves into a promotion winning team in time.

DA has this knack of developing younger on loan players so no reason to suggest he can't do it once gain.

It will be a challenge but our BoD have proved numerous times that they give their manager time and don't expect miracles from Day 1.... :)
