Having talked to a Port Vale fan about him a month ago, it really wouldn't be. I think he's destined for Stafford Rangers or somewhere else about that level, he's from that area and probably wouldn't move. Can't cut it at this level any more. I think he's doing a bit of coaching on the side too.

Mrs A & I chatted to him as he was about to leave us, and his main reason was the travelling, so even if he was fit, I wouldn't see him wanting to return to us now.

Yatesy will be remembered as a Wembley hero and a good player for us but we don't need a 34 year old right back, especially as we've got young AJ who I'd argue has been one of the better performing players this season.

Alex Whitmore has returned to Burnley following his loan spell at Bury.

Played very well for us and had it not been for Max extending his stay with us until the end of this season, I'd have welcomed Alex back to The Globe assuming that Burnley would have let us have him again.

Accy have signed a central defender from Burnley who has just returned to Turf Moor from a loan spell with Barrow.

Joe Lumley gone on loan from QPR to Brizzle Roovers.

Genuinely have no idea who this guy is so I looked him up on Wikipedia. He only played once for us which was at Dover, wish I hadn't looked now!

He was the only decent player in a Morecambe shirt that day!

Signed today on loan at Blackpool for the rest of this season.

Will Bell started last season at Aberystwyth Town having joined them from Bala Town, but in February returned to Bala for a 3rd spell at the club in the Welsh Premier League.

Perks said he "wasn't old enough" to join us a year or 2 back. If he signs with Bury, then I can't see us signing him at 37, there again Kev and Thommo might still be playing

BURY??? Take the piss!!! They have had more bosses since they sacked Flitcroft than we have had since Brian Griffiths in 1993.
Sign for them and play under four managers in couple of seasons and get messed about, or is the money more important?

Alex has today signed a 2 1/2 year deal for Chesterfield, so we'll get the chance to welcome him back to the Globe on the 10th February!
