O/T Hednesford Town FC

Our old rivals from the Vauxhall Conference days - who signed John Norman from us for a massive fee - are also having "club takeover" issues and will not be able to field a team next season they have advised.

Sad times.

I can remember going to their OLD ground for an FA Trophy tie in the 1986/87 season when Joe Woj was at the helm. We won 3-1 if I remember rightly.

John Norman, might possibly still be my favourite ever Morecambe player.

I remember him once beating about 3 defenders, then putting the keep on his ass before stroking it into the empty net. Justin Jackson must have owed him a fortune in assists.

Sad news about Hednesford they seemed ahead of the game back in the 90s.

One of my favourite players too. Justin freely admits that John made him look good. When Rushden & Diamonds came in for Justin, they should have bought John at the same time. Incredible that some people booed John when he came back, for 'daring' to leave us.

Sad that two clubs that were so wealthy at one time, no longer exist.

So how did that work out then?

Excellent footage there from "In The Frame."

Scored a VERY similar goal in the 7-0 home win v Altrincham that same season as well.

Great days.

Thanks for that, happy days!
I had the game on VHS. John Coleman ended up playing as our Goalkeeper. :D

The excellent "In The Frame" were there when Hednesford won 1-0 at Blackpool in the FA Cup too.

Bloomfield pre re-development of course.......

It certainly needed the re-development.

It would be good to have a site/Youtube page of all the old pre-football league days. There was an excellent site years ago which had a strange name, that I can no longer remember.
