It really is the hope that kills you.
Who'd be a football fan? That last 10 minutes was utter torture.

Fantastic result. Credit to everyone involved at the club for their efforts in such a trying time. To be performing like this in such shit circumstances makes it even more special. It isn't in our hands by any means but what a chance we have given ourselves. The travelling few deserve a win like that, really jealous of the fans there today.

Derek has already produced 2 miracles but if we stay up this will trump them both. What a man.

Wages due next week, let's hope for a full house next Saturday after some good results on Tuesday.

Streuth. Blood pressure and other stress-related stuff slowly returning to normal. Well done to everyone at MFC - just need two more similar results (wins) and we MIGHT still be in League One next season.

Only 5 clubs in the division have won their last 2 games, and that is the top 3, plus Derby County and Morecambe!!!!!!!

Why is it though that we only seem to start to really battle when we get to the bottom of the league?? Perhaps we can re-name the club Z.Z. Morecambe, and then we can start off the season at the very bottom (alphabetically) of the league. And who knows ....... at the end of the season we might be Z.Z. Top!!!! :D :D :D

Another cracking interview with Derek.

So how did that work out then?

Last week I and many others on here hammered Stockton last week after a pretty dreary performance with very little energy, even though it culminated in a 90th minute winner.

I'm guessing that winner has inspired his all round game though, as he was everything we want him to be down in Charlton! He fought to win the ball against defenders, showed some superb first touches to bring the ball down and get others into play, produced some really creative bits of skill to open things up, and went looking for the ball and tried to get himself into dangerous areas to stretch the defence.

Obviously, the goals are great and I hope they keep coming from him, but for me the main thing is that he puts in shifts like that. If he does that, then we will score goals. Doesn't matter who gets them, but we will get a few more if Stockton can offer the same platform to the team that he did on Saturday.

Although Cole's long range strike was excellent, his second for me was even better. His anticipation and movement to know just when to go for Jenson's through ball was superb and reminded me of just what Cole has in his locker when he puts his mind to it.

I'm probably in the minority but if Cole's offered another contract on slightly better terms the i hope he signs it because we are the only club where he has been an outright success.

I get the feeling in yet another DA excellent interview that he wants Cole for next season and that he knows full well that he needs to build a new midfield that will supply Cole with the ammunition.

As for the next 2 games, I can imagine that fans of the other clubs involved in the relegation battle are looking at all the different permutation that will deliver their club from the drop....just like ourselves.
