Gnahoua was outstanding last season away at Charlton, i’d be looking at starting him again next week against them.

Gnahoua might be frustrating by taking one touch to many at times but at least he‘ll run at defenders.

Superb victory thanks in no small part to Connor's world class save towards the end of the game.

Chuffed to bits that Cole got the goal and for Arthur's excellent run.

No complaints from me about the late sub.....for once.

DA is raging at the owner(s) I understand and like us all wants a resolution to the takeover ASAP.

Got further conformation about a local consortium waiting in the wings having had one bid rejected.

The thinking is that the current bid that is with the EFL will be thrown out and that Jason will have to take what he can.

Let's hope your information is accurate and we can hear some positive news sooner rather than later!

Bit of a strange game for me but glad for the win. Both teams needed three points but both looked scared to commit too many forward for 75 minutes, almost like a pre season game for a while.
Subs made an impact, Taylor’s energy and willingness to run, Love replaced by Cooney, who has a canny ability to get booked but let his man know he means business. When Ryan chased the lost cause and won it, turned to pass for someone to tap in and……nobody there, was incredibly frustrating. And there lies the difference in the two, Cooney a little more dynamic and does the shithousing better, which is what was needed.
As for the penalty, Haven’t seen it again, but looked to me like Jenson had chance to shoot or square it but stopped and invited the challenge, and as we know, we don’t get pens.
Ref was ok, got a couple of howlers wrong, but then who doesn’t. Cole had his shirt pulled all game in the box repeatedly, and a defender nicked it off Crowley toes and hammered it out….for a goal kick!!
Credit to Arthur who immediately shit their full back up by taking him on and Jake T for the long range effort that the keeper stopped but Cole smashed home.
If Cole had to think about it, he maybe would have missed, but the instinctive finish worked.
Back four and ended with all the ballers on the pitch, Weir, Crowley, Niasse, Arthur and Taylor. It’s the hope that kills you.
We could still win three more and go down, but at least we are still alive.
Seeing Connor run the length of the pitch in 90th minute after we had scored, proves that they are fit, and shows the togetherness in the club. Oh and his two saves were magnificent.
As for Mayor, he was in the tunnel wearing a protective boot on his left peg, “just precautionary” I was informed. Not out for the season.
Frisnit Frisnit!!

It's pretty well known that the bid that was rejected came from Ken Parker

This is the absolute dream scenario… Jason accepts defeat and walks away from Sarb to do a deal with a local consortium. Imagine if this scenario came about and we also survived in league one? Perhaps I’m asking a lot

There would have to be a "local consortium" first. Does anyone have proof that such a thing exists? I suspect it is a figment of Red Robbo's imagination. If he is alluding to certain former directors, I think that ship has long sailed. Is there actually anyone else interested? If they are, reckon they will definately wait until we know what league we are in. We might get away with a points deduction for a first offence, but it is only two weeks until the next pay day and that is before the end of the season.

I stick by everything I've posted about the takeover and that a bid has already been submitted but didn't at this moment in time meet with the current owners expectations.

However the current bid could fail EFL approval then the ball park changes entirely.

I *think* that this late in the season, any points deduction would be applied to next season, so we would start on negative points. I think that is what has happened previously, at other clubs. Also, in the past, the FA has imposed 'suspended sentences', to begin with. Potentially, we could get [for example] a warning for last month, a suspended three point deduction if not paid on time next month, then six or more points deducted from the start of next season, if it occurs again.

Obviously, this is assuming that our late wage payments back in Jim's time in charge, is so long ago as to not count as a 'previous warning'?

Wigan had a suspended points deduction until "the end of 2023" after late payment of wages on three occasions (June & July 2022, and October '22). It was imposed only after late payment again in March.

Wycombe's fans forum said that it was a tactical masterclass by ourselves to make changes so late in the game particularly in the last 10 when we 'went for it'......totally agree.

Anybody else notice how John Mc on the touchline encouraged our lads to be more adventurous and play higher up the pitch in the second 45 :?: :?: :?:

talk about a sly dig. You cannot take yesterday's result away from Derek Adams. You clearly have a personal agenda.

From where I was sat, John McMahon was following Derek's instructions to a tee. Barry Roche was relaying via a mobile phone.

Surprised more managers don't sit up higher in the stands out of choice, better view of the game.

Would never happen but John and Barry relaying instructions from the sidelines with Derek analysing from above seems like a system that could actually work.

Happens in rugby all the time the head coach is never in the dugout. They seem to have faith in the players to be able to get on with it without too much interference.

Problem with football is we all like to see the manager jumping up down so it looks like he is passionate.

Jim and Ken used to work like that, with Ken sat up in the director's box constantly on the phone to Jim on the touchline. But Jim ended up criticised for being sat down on his phone rather than watching the game! I think it worked well on Saturday with Derek talking to Baz on the phone, who could then pass his comments onto John, which allowed John to concentrate on the game rather than looking/talking on the phone constantly which must be distracting.

I hate sitting "low" down in the stands due to the poor view and I've often wondered just how useful it is for the manager to be stood on the side line as he's not getting a good overall view of the game at all.

I agree, I far prefer to see the likes of Derek just letting the players get on with it rather than micro-managing them. Jim was terrible for it, he'd always seem to pick on a particular player and shout at them throughout the match, often it was Flemmo, but if Flemmo wasn't playing, he'd find someone else to shout constantly at. Robbo was also a bit "over the top" during matches! During the match, it's really the captain's job to instruct & marshall the players. There should be minimal managerial input if there's a competent captain. But yes, I do agree that fans seem to like the "passion" of a manager whose constantly giving instructions, whingeing at the fourth official, etc.

If only there was an opportunity to ask DA about touchline or stand from which to view a game from a manager's prospective.

We used to have fans forums in the past where fans could politely quiz the manager. Sadly they seem to be a thing of the past.
