Seating capacity?

Seating capacity?

Postby Ned » Wed Jul 23, 2008 10:58 pm

It is stated on Stanley's website that they must have a min of 2000 covered seats in place by 1st May 2009 to meet Div.2 requirements. As our new ground will not be ready for another 2 seasons have we been given special dispensation as we only have approx 1100 seats and I am not aware of any plans to instal temporary seating.

We don't need to :!:
Correct me if I'm wrong but any team promoted to the Championship must have an all seater stadium within 3 years. Any league 2 team and I would imagine the same applies to league 1 must have a minimum of 2000 seats within 3 years of entering the league. By May 09 it is 3 years since Accrington won promotion :!:
The Conference Pyramid have similar but obviously on a smaller scale.

What is also very interesting is that any club that has been in the top two leagues of English soccer for at least 3 seasons and at some point later are relegated, they must remain all seater stadiums all they will not receive their safety certificate from the FA i.e Rotherham

I am sure that if you are biulding a new ground you don't have you have 2,000 seats untill you move to the new stadium
