Out tomorrow.

Wages still not paid as of this morning.

It's looking a bit ominous :( :( :(

Will Derek have a full team to take to Barnsley tomorrow or will some/all of them strike due to not being paid. Could be a premature end to L1 for us!

It could be worse than a premature end to EFL1 for us.

I am going to Barnsley tomorrow which will be my first away match of the season. Could be a momentous day one way or the other.

I still don't understand why we are needing to borrow money to pay the wages, are we running at a loss and we are not breaking even as we thought, or has Jason emptied the bank account to ay off any remaining loan thinking Sarbjot would have taken over by now, something doesn't add up.

At the moment it's all guess work on our part, supporters that is.

However we all saw how it panned out at Worcester Warriors and there are worrying parallels at our club under the same ownership.

We hope for the best but very much fear the worst!

Wages paid after a 6 figure cash injection for shares from Sarbjot.https://www.morecambefc.com/news/2023/m ... ham-howse/

Looks very likely that he will be the next owner.

What does Graham Howse’s update mean for us? Is this a joint tactic by Jason/Sarbjot to push Sarbjot into position as owner?

Eh?

A guy people have been questioning for months about funds, has come in, paid everyone's wages, then is questioned again.

Do you realise how fine the line is between where we are now and where we could potentially be regarding the actual existence of Morecambe Football Club?

Love or hate the guy, he is the one and only life line we have right now. Take a break from your cynical posting and perhaps, god forbid, say- thank you.

Well this is just a bit naive.

It generally seems to be pretty widely accepted that Sarb Capital have access to a decent amount of funds. However, they've yet been able to prove to the EFL what the legitimate source of the funds is.

Do you not remember the statement from the EFL in February relaying the fact that Sarb Capital had not provided adequate documents to satisfy the owners test? They'd been interested for a while but were not able to produce documents to prove a legitimate source of funds. This should not be taking as long as it is.

Does that not seem a bit suspicious to you, or are you happy to bury your head in the sand?

If they are unable to satisfy the owners test, then this whole saga has been a complete waste of time and massively damaged our chances of staying in League One, as well as causing the late payments of wages this month.

Catch 22 really, do you turn down the £100,000 + to pay our players and staff on top of lots of other expenses.
Pretty clear our directors are drained of funds and have their hands tied by Bond Group.

We struggle to fill a few buckets, so the only choice is take the money, strap yourselves in and see what lies ahead with only Sarb in the running to take Jason on at his game of poker

Hi a while since I have posted Accrington fan here who has been watching your off field dramas I have real sympathy for you has fans and brings back painful memories of what we went through in the past. My own take is you are stuck in the middle of a not so nice development and unfortunately it will play out unless another party becomes interested in a way which looking from the outside doesn't look good, the EFL takes some stick from myself included but in reality they haven't created the current scenario all I can say is I hope it works out well for you and also let's hope on the field both our clubs can escape from the dreaded drop.

I wouldn't even call it catch 22, we have zero alternative options right now.

The man has paid people's wages. Our staff can now afford to pay their mortgages, feed their family and put fuel in their cars to get to work.

For that, I am thankful. Doesn't mean I like him, just means I'm a grown man who isn't acting like an entitled brat which it seems many are.

I've questioned about where the money is coming from BUT I have to say a huge thanks to our prospective owner for getting us out of the recent mess.

Still would like to know more about his means of available funds (wonder if the money man behind him is the guy who was part of his party last home game) but if he (or they) are prepared to back us and create a new dawn in our history then so be it.

All I want for my club is to be able to compete in EFL Football without the worry of will our club survive and not go the way of Bury etc.

Your needless swearing suggests otherwise. Editing the swear words out, made zero difference to your post. So stop swearing, or stop posting.

Stfu. You're a little nazi nobody.

Sorry that the truth hurts the cretins on this dinosaur aged board. A bit like the current MFC board tbh.

I imagine this will be my last "allowed" post on this account so, I'll leave you with this-

You're an entitled championship manager bunch of spastics. Deserve the relegation we will be given
The team is shite. The manager is even worse.

Sarb will walk away from this shit show as I said weeks ago and who the fuck could blame him? Not me.

Edit: Correct, it is your last post. You are obviously, not a Morecambe fan, having only registered since Sarb became involved and only post in support of him and the takeover.

I'll leave this up for the time being, so people can decide for themselves if stopping you being offensive, then ultimately, stopping you from posting, is fair and reasonable, or the actions of a "little nazi nobody".

It's going to be an impossible task selling season tickets if the ownership issue isn't settled by the time they go on sale.

I have been in touch with Niyah Smith via twitter and to be fair, he has been pretty open. I spoke with him on Feb 25th and he told me that Sarb had sent The FA everything they needed to and it was all in The FA's hands. Sarb were waiting to be called to a meeting.

Feb 25th still very sloppy on their part to hand it in, given the amount of time this has been going on for. And the fact that the EFL still aren't happy with it (takeover would have been approved otherwise) raises serious doubts about the legitimacy of their funding.

Something more generally to add - there are other interested parties. A few may have missed this as it's behind a paywall, but Matt Slater (very good and reliable journalist) from the Athletic reported it and the issue being that Sarb are willing to pay well over any reasonable valuation, apparently double what other bidders are offering.

Now, was Mr Grumpy Sarbjot or Jason?

Probably why Mr Grumpy/Jason made the effort to travel up and referee the meeting between Sarb and The Shrimps Trust members.

That was my thoughts too. With the post being made in the early hours of Saturday morning, I'm inclined to think alcohol was an additional factor, and guess someone connected with the sale, rather than the purchase, would be more likely, as Sikhs don't/shouldn't/rarely drink alcohol. Obviously, lots of guessing there, but he was on thin-ice after previous posts needed cleaning up, so time to say good-bye.
