Hopefully not another training ground incident.

Wonder if these injuries to young loanees is due to due to asking too much of them so early in their careers. The majority are only used to playing Academy football which is virtually no contact and when they are thrown into a rough and physical league such as EFL1 they easily pick up injuries that a seasoned pro has the strength to get over.

Adam Mayor is a product of our Academy BUT was training with the first team for some considerable time and got used to the physical and contact side of the game before being introduced to first team match day involvement.

As already mentioned the need for an addition is paramount BUT long term injury Duffus is now back in the squad so a wee bit of good news there PLUS Caleb is also back.

However Melbourne, Taylor and now Bedeau are all out for this Saturday.

It is, but it will take Dufus a fair few games to get up to match fitness. Equally, if a free agent can be found, they won't be match fit either.

Was the shoulder injury that forced him off at Fleetwood

As much as I would love to see a stunning Duffus comeback, I'd be surprised if we're able to rely on him much. I'm pretty sure that's his second ACL repair he's had in his career. One's enough to hamper you when playing again, let alone two! Poor lad's had no luck.

Shame about Mellon but I wasn’t honestly convinced that he was up to league one football - not yet anyway.

A free agent would be welcome but I feel like a couple of our existing attackers need to step up a bit and start scoring now. Arthur? Caleb? When is Ash Hunter going to score a goal for us?
