Skipping over all the seasons where he kept us up, when we didn't have a pot to piss in, and he used to clean dog crap and broken glass off the school pitch before training? Where neither he, nor the players and backroom staff were getting paid, yet still kept us up? When the club was turned in to a soap opera, with a penniless Brazilian and a mad-Italian who slept in the boardroom, fighting for ownership of the club? I
f you include those seasons, I'd say he's the best man to try and keep 'Dale up. Good luck to him.

Unfortunately, although it makes you a good bloke committed to the club, picking dog crap up off the training pitch doesn’t count towards staying up.
