I said at full time that i felt 3-0 didn't really do us justice. We competed really well for 60 minutes qnd had probably the best chance. Some of our play in the middle was brilliant but after chasing a very good side round for an hour, we gassed.

Having a player like Bannan strolling about like the best player in the playground and Palmer bombing on from full back just shows you what we are up against but we should already know that. This is a horrible league with some massive clubs and we are fighting them off with a pea shooter! You have to respect the level of ability of the teams in this league and you have to understand what Derek and a young squad are up against.

We as fans are underpeforming this season. Leaving early and booing is terrible, it's not what we do. There is a real negative feeling coming from the stands despite us being in L1 for another season.

You're right, 0-5 or 0-6 would have been fairer! Ripley was easily MotM and his save in the first half in particular was superb. When your keeper is MotM, and you lose 0-3, it tells its own story. We had one good chance in the entire game.

I have no problem with people leaving early, if that's what they choose to do, it is up to them. However, I do agree with you about booing. I really don't know what people expect? This was Sheffield Wednesday not Frickley Athletic! They spend more on one player than our entire squad is worth. We need everyone to get behind the players 100%.

There is a very negative feeling surrounding the club as a whole at present. The Cole saga, the owner saga, the injury crisis, and now the result & performance saga. When will we catch a break! Things are looking very bleak as it stands, but I trust Derek to turn it around, he deserves that. The atmosphere at the Mazuma has been a shambles so far this season, it is actually embarrassing! What happened because last season was fantastic, win , lose or draw. Can literally hear a pin drop now, it is shocking.

I thought for 70 minutes until the first goal went in we competed well. Yes they had plenty of shots but mainly from distance and Ripley coped well with them. We had 2 decent opportunities in the first half , the one with Phillips through on a one on one with their keeper and a header from Delaney.

After the first goal went in I was dreading another 0-4 MK Dons game but the lads did keep their heads up however 2 headers from corners is worrying. England's greatest manager Sir Alf Ramsay once said that no team should ever concede a headed goal from a corner.

As mentioned the atmosphere was very flat.

Our season won't be defined by games against the likes of Sheffield Wednesday but against teams similar size to us , FGR , Accrington , Fleetwood , Cheltenham , Cambridge , Exeter etc etc

Wednesday are a very vocal fan base, always have been, so no shame in being out sang by them, but to be out sang by a few hundred Fleetwood teenagers and a couple of hundred franchise fans is terrible.

I think we competed well for around 50/55 mins, then after a very bright opening to the second half we seemed to diminish. Hard to tell if that's legs going, Sheff Weds upping it, a tactical change etc.

I think that second half was indicative of our struggles this season - offering too little on the ball during long stretches and consequently heaping pressure on our defence which is decent, but like any defence will eventually crack without respite. We need to be able to do more with the ball when we win it back, and I think we need a change to a back four to facilitate that. Sheff Weds probably not the game to test that out in fairness, but I think we desperately need that switch against FGR this Saturday. Can get over not offering that much on the ball because we're too focused on defending against a side like Sheff Weds, but coming up against FGR, Cambridge, Accrington Cheltenham etc over the next few weeks we need to take the game to those sides far more than we did vs Fleetwood and Shrewsbury (and arguably Bristol Rovers).

That's not necessarily about possession football either - it's about getting players forward when we win the ball to counter properly, squeezing teams a bit higher up the pitch, forcing a few more sustained spells of pressure and gaining more territory etc.

A lot said about Bannan - I think some are not quite appreciating how ridiculously good he is for this level, and the fact that he was very much on it last night. For sides like ourselves, you either get Shane McLoughlin to follow him all night, or do what we did and pass him along our midfield and be organised to limit passing options for him. Both have advantages and disadvantages - eg, if Bannan gets away from his man marker then we're basically screwed, or the other way can be a bit too passive at times. Bannan was really on one last night, that tactic to defend him worked well in the home game last season, but not so much last night.

We were well beaten in every department

But to be fair Bannan is probably on more a week than most of our squad put together

That's what we are up against
