What a great idea will motivate me to get the running shoes out again as I have slipped into retirement recently.

Depends how well you stick to the official route I guess

Let's see, 200 yards to the Shrimp then a long trek to the Broadway. If we stick to the sea side of the prom you will be gagging by the time you get to the Midland - if they let you in

To avoid a lot of zig/zagging stay on the other side and your 1st port of call, providing you can manage to pass the hotel bars would be The Pier, maybe a slight diversion to the Pallatine then the Royal and the Kings.

Remember your route then do it all again in reverse

Just a thought so Sgnt Major does'nt feel left out we could come back through town and drop off at The York but it might be dark by then

What a good idea....I reckon if we got a pint in every drinking house on the route we'd be well blistered by the time we got back.....sometime the day after!

We were talking on saturday about a group of us doing the GNR 2010 this will be good training for the others (you know who you are) to ease them into a training routine.

The simple reason for being on the Morecambe Stadium site is that the main site can't manage registration forms so we had to set it up on the stadium site - owned and run by the club. A news story is on the main site with a link.

I registered a while ago as well, but hav'nt heard anything. Having gone back to the link http://www.morecambestadium.co.uk/register.asp

There is an extra bit that must have appeared since? Which says pay as you register - I'm sure that was'nt there before or I would have paid

Looks like it's off to the Club shop then so I don't have to run round the course twice

I'm confused now, do we have to re-register or can we just go down to the club shop and pay? :?

They've also added terms and conditions which state a sponsor form will be dispatched within ten days of registering; I registered weeks ago and haven't heard anything since...

I've been told the following:

You should have heard by now if not you'll be hearing from Karen or Helen at the club very shortly.

The terms and conditions were added recently and you can pay via the links, at the club shop or by calling 411797 by credit card.

I have just received our entry/sponsor forms this morning without having to go to the Club Shop so if you registered your interest earlier on you should be receiving yours shortly :D

You must pay before Saturday 20th (assuming there are spaces left) NO entries will be accepted on race day :!:

Got my form(s) via Wells Fargo this morning.

There's no way that I'm running, so anybody who wants to join me for a stroll over the 5 miles is more than welcome. :) :) :)

Probably stop at a few watering holes on the way to the Midland and just to check out the same on the way back. ;) ;) ;)
