This is one message taken from the Worcester Warriors fans forum ....

Not surprised at all.

Lack of transparency at the club, invisible owners, late filing of accounts & the recent SRA ban.

No sign of any more signings, no "can't wait for the season, new kit etc"

At least the Telegraph gave us some news - bad though it is

Perhaps the owners could get out in front of this with a public statement? Or are we past that stage?

The owners string of companies reads like a book with accounts overdue, receiverships and strike off orders, Sixways Properties Ltd., Sixways Stadium Ltd. and Sixways Medical Ltd. are the new names to look out for this summer

Perhaps if a white knight wants to buy Morecambe FC then they may be able to get it at a bargain price if the owners are trying to raise cash ?

Just so long as it's a white knight and not a black one

God forbid that the football club ever was owned by black knights, although Diego Lemos and his consortium were very close to fitting the discription!

Could be that when we get some money in (i.e. sale of Cole), the owners will withdraw as part payment of their loans into the club, and put it into WW to pay the tax bill, rather than let our Board/Derek use it to for new player(s).

As far as we’re concerned, this worries me a bit.

Colin Goldring’s SRA hearing worried me much more.

An old mentor of mine used to say...."Don't worry about things you can do nothing about" Easier said than done!

Doesn't sound good. I have limited understanding of these things though. I am guessing the owners could take money out of the club to pay debts elsewhere?

Some really worrying stuff coming from Worcester regarding our Owners and their intentions.

I would hope that the Trust has been in contact with our Board as it was created in the aftermath of one lot of bad owners to make sure we are in the know if it ever happens again.

Or 'in control of financial matters' but with possibly nefarious motives going off the WW fans forum etc'. I haven't followed events at WW that closely but whatever is developing seems to have blindsided the fans at least.

Hope and pray we don't go back to the ownership shenanigans of 2017/18. When you look back at that mess it's a minor miracle that we're where we are today!

We have a solid board of directors who can hopefully steer us through this potential minefield to calmer waters. But how much they can influence the direction the owners decide to take us in is anybody's guess. Hopefully common sense prevails and what appears to be a thriving business is allowed to continue in that vein!

Only alteration I'd make to the above is to change 'minor miracle' into 'major miracle' :)

Didn't we used to comment on the fact that Messrs Whittingham and Goldring spent the majority of their time at WW RUFC and were rarely seen at our games. I guess WW RUFC are a far bigger fish than us financially and warranted the said gents concentrating their 'ownership skills' on them.

In time we may be glad of this fact.

Only guessing, not a clue really, like every other supporter trying to make sense of this.

A positive and much needed statement from the club.
