IMO he drifts in and out of games, is poor defensively, and can give the ball away cheaply. He did improve under Adams - but I would not say that you can conclude he stands out at this level, or is one of the divisions better players - or even in our team now that we have Ash Hunter and Jake Taylor. He is good at taking set pieces, and does have good potential. I do not see him being of any use to Burnley in the Championship.

To me, that's a contradiction. To a large extent, the reason we weren't creating very much, is because our creative midfield weren't creating very much! Considering at least one (can't remember if it was more) of his goals being a penalty, and he was on the majority of direct & creative free-kicks & corners, I'd have expected a better return of goals and assists.
If he came back, he'd offer something more to the squad, but equally, if he goes somewhere else, I wouldn't be too upset. I'd rather a Bedeau update that said he was coming to us!

His set pieces were abysmal, corner routines shocking, and his general commitment and energy sorely lacking. Can’t believe some people saying they’d have him back. Yes, there was talent there but so infrequent we were carrying him. Gone. Move on.
