Derby County

Looks like the Rams takeover isn’t going to happen. I know this is sad to say but they’re going to be a real basket case next season so now we only have another 3 sides to finish above. I hate to profit on another club’s demise but they’ve been overspending for years - sadly it’s now caught up with them.

Obviously want them to start the campaign - imagine if they go bust - the financial impact on all League One sides missing out on a home game would be horrific.

Also there is a chance the Cheltenham manger might be leaving I could seem them struggling if that is the case.

Having at least one club in financial turmoil kept us in the league a number of times

Fleetwood could be in a mess too.

It's a shame for fans of those clubs, we sailed close enough to the wind ourselves, but if their mismanagement makes our prudence more successful, so be it.

So how did that work out then?

Fleetwood Chairman and owner is still to face court proceedings for financial irregularities with regards to his business dealings.

Ironic that the Tricky Trees are on the up just as Direby Clownty tumble down the leagues.

Pride Park is the only new ground for me next season with Morecambe - or Stoke City's ground if the Rams end up player there as was rumoured.

We lost Sunderland, but its one in one out: four clubs that have been champions of England reside in the third tier of English football: Derby County (2), Ipswich Town (1), Portsmouth (2), Sheffield Wednesday (4). Thats what we are competing against week in wee out these days; football is incredible!
Hello! Hello! We are the Morecambe boys!

Derby will be taken-over at some point, I have a few friends who follow them all over the Country. Thought they would be a quick take-over but clearly not, the Admin were the same guys who handled the sale of the Hotel at Bolton, they took their sweet time with that.
This is not so much a toxic owner like we had but a chap thinking he could stretch the EFL financial rules, and at one point looked like he got away with it as accounts initially accepted (watch out Everton and your interpretation).
If this American chap does not get it done there are two waiting to step in, at least one has an offer rejected but if that is the best offer it will be taken and could lead to them being hit by a -15 points start next season.
Suspect Rooney will move on in that case.
Dream of owning your football team Mel Morris did now he is not very popular and the good he did long forgotten.
