Special mention to all the fans young and old but a special word of praise to those who organised the large banner given its first airing prior to today's game.

Seconded.

If nothing else, the team have always given 100% this season - even when we've been on the end of heavy defeats, and they have produced some memorable performances.

Derek Adams deserves a huge amount of credit - he saved us from relegation, again, in a tougher division. The guy is a top, top manager and I think he's going to take us much higher up the table next season.

I will join City Shrimp in seconding that Red Robbo.

This year we have an extra month to prepare our squad. Last season didn't finish until 31st May with the defeat of Newport.

I would imagine that the released list will be done in the next week or so to allow those players lots of time to get fixed up for next season. I must admit I am very happy with the squad we have but some players especially loanees will probably not return.

It's an amazing achievement.
I personally don't think it would of happened without DA returning.
Respect to the squad and fans. The directors have turned the club around.
The bigger picture, the town is being rejuvenated, back on the map for various reasons. Love it.

Just brilliant, thankfully had the points in the bag. Still struggling to explain to my other half why we were all celebrating when we had actually lost the game, should sink in by Tuesday

Crazy sense of relief. A real roller coaster ride. 25 games watched and only seven wins but still been some really amazing moments

No doubt in my mind that those words of thanks and congratulations are fully merited for all who are currently here at the club!!!!

Being nearly 2000 miles away can be frustrating at times, but believe me when I say, that I fully share the proud feelings of BELONGING to Morecambe Football Club. In my office over here in Cyprus I have a lovely notice all about Morecambe FC which attracts lots of attention from the many expats and holidaymakers that call in, but one statement on there which is in bold and gets lots of attention is a statement about Morecambe FC being the only one of 92 League clubs never to have been relegated from any league they have played in since their original formation (in 1920 in our case). Thank goodness that can stay in position on the office wall.

One query that maybe somebody can answer though:- our official stats state that the capacity of The Mazuma Stadium is 6476. Yesterday was an all-ticket game which was fully sold out. So how come the attendance was listed as being 5831 (brilliant attendance figure but I just wonder about the missing 645!!!)?

There are some seats that have such a restricted view that they can never be sold. I don't know how many of them there are, but that will bring the 'real' capacity down.

A great day all the same.

We've not had that capacity since the away end capacity was reduced by 300 due to the narrow concourse at the back and proper segregation taking up most of the seats in B block. In our first season at the Globe home and away fans even shared a concourse.

Thanks for the feedback on the attendance stats Keith and Wild Bill.

Must have been an absolutely fantastic atmosphere yesterday - and Keith, I hope your Dad enjoyed his day.

Cheers to all Morecambe fans everywhere, and here's to a great 2022/23 season. :D :D :D

The noise from the stadium was off the scale yesterday! It’s been reported that we can be heard in Lancaster. They probably heard us in Barrow too yesterday.

One of the greatest days watching the club yesterday. That sort of drama is surely what we all as football fans seek. Tremendous achievement by all at the club and that includes the fans, old and new.

Does anyone else get the feeling we are becoming established as a ‘proper’ Football League club!

There was a number of seats in C that remained empty which could be seen in the replays. Not sure why but even a few of the white seats look unused as well.

Strange... :?: :?: :?:

He had a great time, but looked utterly knackered by the end of the game, which was understandable, as this was his first time out, other than a couple of rolls in a chair on the promenade, since he had the stroke 18 months ago.

Big thanks to John Statter who stood with him through the game, and Rod Taylor, who not only sorted the taxi, but in typical Rod style, on one of the busiest days of his season, took time out to go down and meet my dad on his arrival, to greet him and say 'hello'. Hopefully he'll be down again, but more often, next season.
