FFS!

Wednesday could have been three up after 15 minutes, but then manage schoolboy defending, to gift Fleetwood an equaliser.

Wednesday were well on top until they contrived to throw away the lead. Now Fleetwood are on top, although Wednesday managed to hit post & crossbar!

Not looking good at the moment.

Well, if it stays like this, Fleetwood are safe and it is between us & Gillingham.

That couldn't have gone much better - Fleetwood losing so they need a win, Rotherham drawing meaning they will need a win to be sure of automatic promotion so will be bang up for it Saturday.

Phew!!!

We should be okay, I can't see Fleetwood & Gillingham both winning. Hopefully, we'll get at least a point, but things are looking reasonably good for us now.

Sunderland also need to win to guarantee playoffs, so they will be up for it too.
It's certainly going to be a nerve wracking day on Saturday.

Goal difference of Sunderland and the 2 teams just below them is really close. A draw may be good enough for them to get in the play-offs depending how Wycombe and Plymouth are doing.

A draw for Fleetwood at Bolton wouldn't relegate us but may be ok for them.

Fleetwood are shocking as are Gillingham , surely they can't both win !

Yes. Not mathematically, but Gillingham would need to beat Rotherham by three goals & Fleetwood win.

Really think we will get a positive result on Saturday. Sunderland ran themselves to water and we’ve had a nice rest. An intriguing and potentially great day ahead with all sorts of permutations for both clubs. Bring it on!

For about 74 mins last night it was looking really grim for us, Fleetwood winning , Rotherham and Wigan which could have affected their performance against the Gills on Saturday, but it really turned on it's head, and all the results went in our favor almost perfectly. We have 1 hand on safety now, and it is ours to lose. You wouldn't expect Fleetwood or The Gills to get a win in their games, but stranger things have happened in football and I won't settle until it is 100% confirmed. Such a far cry from where we were in mid March. Derek is the Goat for getting us into this position.

Its not over until the fat lady sings - but the bookies (who are known to be wrong when it concerns us) now have us as 18/1 outsiders for the drop.... although realistically the only combination of results that would see us relegated from this position (unless there's a swing in GD) is Gillingham win, Fleetwood win, Sunderland win = 20/1 on Bet 365

Gillingham are a very poor team (how did they get 4 points from us !) and have the worst home record in league 1. Rotherham have one of the best away records in League 1 and have something to play for , either the title or automatic promotion.

Put a tenner on it. That way, if we're relegated, Bet 365 will pay for next season's season ticket and a few beers to drown your sorrows. If any of those don't happen, we stay up and no one will care about ten quid! :D

Rotherham also haven't won away in their last 6 games.

Red shrimp, from our point of view they don’t have to win, and looking at the positives they drew their
last away game against a team much higher in the league than Gillingham!! Look for the positives , don’t search for negative’s, don’t honestly remember but did the Shrimps win on Sunderland’s last visit to Morecambe?
