League 1 stats

Team could get 83 points and not even make the play offs

Team could stay up with just 40 points (that must be the lowest total ever)

Gillingham could stay up by scoring just 35 goals

We could stay up conceding 87 plus goals

It's been a crazy ride this season ... Let's all hope and pray that after next Saturday we have another shot at League 1 again next season

As I have said in a previous post it’s been far from an ideal first season in league 1 with managerial changes and throwing a team together at the start of the season , but let’s hope we can survive and have a proper crack at it next season ! COYS !!!

Its been a bit like the premier league with the top teams being way ahead. Six teams at the bottom being quite poor and then a good number of mediocre teams which are sadly quite a bit better than us. Best of the bad bunch though is achievable with a result on Saturday.

If you want a good laugh, look at the BBC sports page for league 1 end of season awards. They’ve never heard of Morecambe.

Yes, that’s how I see this division - quite a big gap between the top and the bottom teams, although surprises do happen (we beat Sheff Wed and Wycombe when both those respective teams were top of the league).

If we can just survive this season and we get the chance to rebuild under Derek in the summer then I definitely see us being in the middle of the pack next season, reasonably safe from relegation.
